Thanks for playing! Few things here:
1) Only Duel Matches give trophies and battlepoints
2) Melee Matches give no Trophies but do give BattlePoints.
This is all explained when you click on the ? button in the Game Modes menu, where it gives you the choice to play a Duel Match or Melee Match.
