Really cool addition to the Medieval Cop lore, however from the gameplay perspective, it was quite underwhelming. very few clues to connect and no contradictory evidence.
Nice short game with old-school graphics, but needs a few improvements when it comes to the flow of the game:
1. Once I release Squee, it is not clear what to do.
2. Once I get all three threads, it is really difficult to figure out what to do. It says to go south, but when I get too far south, there are not hints.
Cool little game, the concept of a block and hammer is great. Just the controls are bit tricky, which results in many level to be challenge at pressing the key a exactly right moment.
The concept of the game is good, but the controls are terrible. The squadron command is always rearranging the order of ships, even if they are prepared exactly in the shape for the squadron.
This is and an interesting proof of concept of a minimalistic game, but riddled with bugs and other issues:
1. no speed up button. I have to wait nearly 20 seconds to finish a day although I cannot influence the process.
2. sun often shines until 24 hour, with the intensity even growing until the abrupt end of the day
3. If I don't build any wind turbines in "Island" scenario, then I am not given any land for development. Even on the day 15, I could be struggling to power the hotel and all the houses from remaining 5 fields...
Verdict: although this is an interesting topic, it was already done better by the game "Power the Grid", which is also here on Kongregate
Storywise a nice addition to the series, good dialogue, but the investigative part was bit underwhelming this time.
Also, it is bit strange that the letter is appearing and disappearing between scenes.
This was the first time in whole series when I knew where is the case is heading once I saw the old slides, fountains, and the broken metal beams. And it was interesting to see the sad story unfold as expected.
Needlessly to say, this episode is significantly shorter than the previous one, still a nice addition to the series.
Although I really like the Medieval cop series, this episode left me really conflicted.
On one side, amazingly well written story with deep characters. And also a proper murder case (Tira's story). On the other hand, there are quests where the success is dependent on clicking fast enough. And this element appears not once, but three times (once with flames running to Polly, twice with Post Office monster).
A game with an interesting new concept, but need some work. The main annoyance are really tricky controls. Going for a jump, pressing X, and falling in one of the flames. Then, in the third attempt, suddenly flying over all of the flames.
Dear passengers, this is your captain speaking. Most of our instruments are mysteriously missing, so I am going to land this aircraft while guessing its altitude by the shadow on the ground.
(At first it looked a sweet little game, but no.)
