this game is so frustrating. it doesn't matter how much of a 'builders' deck one makes, the AI is so unbalanced... argh. so stupid to waste hours trying to get a badge that's all dependent on 'luck' and not at all on strategy.
the game is pretty good up until the enemy units start out advanced but player units don't. and author's notes about controlling units isn't much help with no hot keys for speed. better balance through the upper levels would make it more playable. note: tried the bowman suggestion and the healer suggestion, but difficult to acquire funds fast enough - in the upper levels - to achieve completion of stage.
have to agree with unbalanced comments. aerial enemies are much too difficult to kill and leak from first appearance. if the game were more balanced i'd probably give 5/5. Since it isn't, and due to it's extreme imbalance 2.5/5. Although, for creativity and design, I'd give it 6/5. Very unique :D
Definitely needs a reset. Especially considering that the game is more than eight or ten levels, it's unrealistic (and nearly impossible) to make it through the game with only ten lives. Also, while the slots idea is interesting, I think the game might be better served if what was dug up had applicability to the level a player is engaged in at the time, and not toward some potential future level they may or may not reach.
I have to agree that while most of the levels are easy to moderate, when you get to the bonus levels the timing becomes so important that it's simply frustrating to continue playing. The 'impossible' challenges should at least be realistically plausible for the avg. gamer. Makes me wonder if the creator could even complete the bonus levels.
Congrats to those who have, but for me the game rates a one simply because there's a difference between challenging and pissing me the hell off.
wow, thanks Gako! I had no idea! Hey, I think gako is the sound my cat makes when it gags :D
Duh! I'm talking about the shadow boss *sigh* but thanks for the 'advice'.
i get tired of rearranging my points trying to get past one zone. And I get tired of 'training' just to level up. The game is okay, until you get to the point where you're playing the same boss a dozen or more times with no way to get past him. That just makes it irritating -- not fun. And the badge notes aren't a joke, this freakin' game takes forever to play.
