I must say that I am extremely glad to see a game of this magnitude on Kongregate. Not many flash games contain this amount of passion, effort, and ambition that makes me love this game so much. I really hope you do continue this game; if the game's size is a problem, try making multiple parts with migrating save files or something? I don't know how it can be done but I really want you to continue!
This is a fantastic time-waster (for better and for worse,) and has very addicting gameplay.
And issue I have is the lucky boxes. I feel that the only reason I would buy them would be for Naomi's butterflies or Daigo's sandals... It's annoying as hell to get five shadow cloaks after a long, rewarding run. It's even more annoying to "gain" 300 gold coins from them three times in a row. I'm losing hard-earned money here! I just got through a game where I earned 11,500 (!!) gold coins, and through all of that, I managed to get a whopping two butterflies, five sandals, and a lifetime supply of shadow cloaks and multiplier bonuses. This is annoying. I feel like it'll take more money to get Daigo than to just save up the cash to get Orochi...
But again, the game itself is fun. It gets great by the time your ninja starts to run at 100 km/h.
@w3r3r4bb1t: Is the AI really stupid for doing what it did? You can't really blame it for wanting companionship through its last moments of life. Yes, I said life.
Wouldn't you do the same if you and another were surely going to suffer a similar fate?
@SirMustapha While I wasn't entirely scared of it either, why the heck would you turn off the sound? Horror or otherwise, games like these should be considered as experiences, and having sounds is extremely important for getting immersed into a game's environment. What's "good" about this game is that it's interesting, not because it's "scary."
Update to all people who want to get the Let the Rivers Run Red achievement (overkill all bosses on 17 songs): The achievement LIES. You need to overkill every boss on Guitar vs Piano as well. At least, I didn't get it until I overkilled them all on GvP. Second Impact, could you change the achievement description, please?
Sigames, I DID do them all on pro. I've also perfected every song (save for Guitar vs Piano) and this bug is stopping me from getting the last achievement. :P
I overkilled every boss on all 17 songs (minus the super secret bonus challenge) and I don't have the last achievement. Don't tell me I have to overkill them all on the super secret bonus challenge, too!? D:
I ended up being able to exploit it because I lost all the games except for the one where you avoid the green balls. After that I got the hard badge really quickly... This game wasn't hard, it was just plain unfair.
The only ridiculous part was with the police car dropping mines. That part made me retry exactly 243 times; I didn't fail in any of the other stages ._.
Because, Mastaaustin, this game deserves to be thought about. If the creator of the game put these meanings in the game, they were obviously meant to be figured out.
Really awesome and addicting, but it really annoys me that when I finish a high jump the Skier just happens to come down on the screen when a jump gap happens. >.<
Thanks! I don't want to split it up in several parts though. I want to release the whole thing in one game.
