it broke... while i was collecting the memory things they dissapeared completely and i fell into the void thing and its not respawning me or anything so i cant complete the game

That was originally a bug, but I enjoyed it so much that I left it in as an easter egg. It's actually rather tricky to pull it off on purpose ;).
