Tried several times to play and I can't move, the arrow keys do nothing. I know other people have had this issue so if the developer could have a look at it that would be great, would definitely like to give this game a go :)
I know this will get downrated but I have to say it - something about this game makes it run incredibly slowly on my netbook. I know I shouldn't expect it to run quickly but I don't get more than 1 or 2 fps if I'm lucky. I'd love to play it but it needs just a little more optimisation for feeble computers like mine! Please?
Everybody should buy the full version. The story is amazing, the game stays fun and fresh... these guys are seriously good developers and deserve your money! I promise I wasn't paid to say this, it's just how much I love the game!
Not a bad game, but waaaay too easy. Didn't get any upgrades until after level 7 (which I lost two lives on), and after that the game was no trouble at all. Here's 3 ways you could increase the difficulty: (1) Limit the ship's speed. Most (good) shooter games like this have the ship follow the mouse at a set speed, instead of positioning itself absolutely. This makes it more difficult to dodge. The speed would have to be upgradeable of course. (2) Don't have the enemies all fire at the same time! Not matter how many turrets there are, if they are all firing at the same time then dodging is easy. You'll be surprised how much trickier it gets when turrets all fire at different times (still at the same fire rate, but just starting at different point). (3) Make sure the enemies actually target the ship. A few times I could stay still and the enemies would shot straight past me. Make these three small changes I think it will dramatically improve the game. As it is, 3/5. Nice graphics too :)
The reset system is majorly flawed. On the Tunnelvision level I managed to complete all five laps whilst only crossing the finish line once. No idea what's going on, but it definitely isn't working! Nice graphics though
Good game, but kinda annoying when the guys move towards or away from the camera (ie sideways) and end up missing the pool. If we can control that somehow, what am I missing?
I played this game until I died, and managed to get 7530512. Dunno whether that's particularly high, but it certainly didn't take much skill - just holding one direction with a maxed-out ship. That said, there is something ridiculously awesome about destroying gigantic swarms of mines that keep coming and coming. It really felt like a life-and-death one-man-against-it-all situation, and even though I was basically just holding 3 buttons, I really enjoyed it :). 4/5
This game has some great enemy variations and good potential, but the control are horrible. Firing forwards instead of backwards would be a good start.
Not bad, but with no explanation of what the heck is going on, an undecipherable upgrade screen, and typos like 'disrangetance' (took me a while to work that one out) it certainly needs a lot more work. There's nothing inherently wrong with the gameplay, but with an added Tutorial and even a small Backstory it would be much improved. 3/5.
