Okay, okay. I should have read the full game rules before posting. BTW: It would be nice if you could influence moment when the journey card appears. By producing a certain amount of points for example. If you make less than 50 points every 3 cards, a journey card appears. This way you would be able to really work on getting high scores. It's a little frustrating right now, that sometimes when I'm having a good run, the journey cards suddenly appear and the game ends shortly before I reached a new high score.
I would say getting a high total score isn't exactly the objective of the game; really you want to get as high a score as you can with the draw you get. Try this: pick a game number and have your friend play it also (you can specify the game number at the beginning) then see who got a higher score. I have more fun playing this way than just trying to beat my highest score ever! :)

All in all a nice game. Something new for a change. But I'm not sure I get all the rules. For example: When is the game over? After drawing a certain number of cards? How many?
Glad you like the game! So there are three journey cards, marked with a star, that get shuffled in. When you draw a journey it just gets set to the side, and when the third journey card is drawn the games ends. So when there are two journeys out you know the game could end at any moment!
I'll add this little bit to the short rules above.
"42,544 online playing 41,389 free games!" Kongregate used to be proud of the fact that every game was free. But this new Gem Craft can't really be played without the premium content. If you can't use the endurance setting, you can't win a challenge amulet (e.g. field G10). The endurance setting however is premium content. Thus you can only play a demo version for free. The main contend is premium.
Do you know what that means? It means the end of an era: The fun part of this game is only available to you if you hand over cash. Kongregate has finally degenerated into a pay site. Soon only the crappy games are gonna be free, more of the cool titles are gonna be "premium". This is really sad. I used to love Kongregate. And I think Kongregate is destroying itself this way. If I have to pay for games, then I'm gonna go to a shop and buy a real game, not a flash game.
You have to hit the fruit from below. If you jump on top of a fruit the girl doesn't collect it.
BTW: Burgers and alarm clocks seem to count as fruit. lol
But anyway the game is stupid. 2/5
