i love these time suck games. I always find myself negotiating 'just till I level this last one up' and an hour later im still clicking.
My suggestion: It would be a little less confusing if you rounded the upgrades to the scales. For instance, instead of 23,014M round it to 23B. When you're dealing with points in the billions, a few million really isnt that much to round down.
Becomes very easy once you get ranged units. Just max out the distance they can hit and spawn 30 of them. I made it through to level 30 before this strategy started to fail.
The inventory system feels cluttered. It'd be nice to separate out the resources from the units. Otherwise, Fun game! Loads of units to build your armies with!
controls are a pain when you are attacking and you push through an opponent and then have to stop button mashing and turn around. If coins are suppose to be hard to collect I should be able to purchase any upgrade without waiting for it to unlock. i end up with money to burn and nothing to buy to help me complete the next level. Why does the special bar have nodes if i have to wait for it to completely fill? Maybe have mid-bar mini specials?
In addition to the basic features we also added some extra features such as tools, minions, special weapons, heroes, power ups and also speed up button, if you like that game you may also like this game.
Love the game. I spend all morning bouncing back and forth researching the game music. I dispute the Kirby music though, there is far more iconic music than that!
What's with TD games having impossible level 8's? I've got perfects on all the levels up to 8, and cannot for the life of me get past the air units! Plus the cheap ass dropships come from the top down and drop their loads right next to the base each time!
The game is fun, and keeps me occupied during down time, but I feel its become stagnant after level 50. Though the experience needed to level keeps exponentially increasing, the manner in which to get experience does not. The target range seems to offer the highest available manner to get EXP, but I can get maybe 12 targets in a row before losing, yielding a measly 120 xp. While in order to level to 55 you need over 160K points. And with fully upgraded house and 11 hats, i gain only 44 EXP every 4 seconds. But with such large gaps between location unlocks, there really isnt much draw for me to interact with the game until it reaches lvl 60. Long short of it, It'd be nice if there were either unlocks more frequently than every 10 levels or a faster way to level.
Hi! I agree, leveling gets a bit too slow after level 50. The Meditation Garden was the first addition to improve things there (it permanently doubles fastbar exp, and the boost can be increased up to a temporary 10x boost if you're playing the minigame there). We still plan on adding ways to buy exp etc, and whale farming also gives a lot of exp now :)
This game is addictive and fun. Only problem, I think the constant damage numbers is lagging the hell out of my PC. Its impossible to use that fast forward button because it actually slows everything down. I primarily use all gunships as well.
Haven't even gotten to 'Epic' difficulty, but level 3 on Hard is insanity! The NPC spawned about 15 'Mighty Guardians' (guys on horses) all at once in a wave of death. Its gonna take a lot of upgrading of units to face something like that! Though it is nice to see something called 'Hard' actually be a challenge...
Shame on Kong for supporting this game. Contradicts the title of the site: 'Kongregate: Play FREE games online'... And as far as game play 1/5, average platformer, sub-par graphics, not impressed.
