@nemesis00: If You are having problems with the bodies You're doing something wrong. You have to be smarter than the AI and use the bodies as "portable cover" or as a kind of "decoy", making them waste their ammo shooting the corpse, than smash them while they are reloading.
@kenshi9: Medic is a very good class, even alone. I like to play Juggernaut matches with Medic Only setting, using Dragon or .500, Charismatic and Kevlar Vests. On Normal I hardly ever die. Also, to me it's all like Tank>Medic>Commando>Assassin.
OMG Zachbrew, You play with grade 5 gems? If you play on armored only You must be non-premium, so i will tell You what you seem not to know: the best setup for your killgem is a tower surrounded by 8 amps, with the gem in the tower being 1-2 grades higher. Dual lime-yellow. It's so good that You could summon 100-150 monsters each wave AT LEAST. By the end of a normal game You should have grade 7 or 8 gems AT LEAST. If You are doing it differently You are doing it wrong. Also, give me a precise example of what gems You have combined, how many grades lower and in what quantity, so that i can do the same and compare. I am 100% sure cost efficiency will be worse.
In addition to what Keylole said: It might be important what gem colors You used and where did You place them. I checked it on my grade 12 yellow gem and added 8 grade 9 gems to it, then compared it to a grade 13 gem (same cost). Although special was a few percent better, damage was a lot worse, not even mentioning range and firing speed. This means that even if it was used in a way that makes damage and range unimportant, for example manatrap, that slightly increased special would still be no good due to lower firing speed. TL;DR: Increasing gem grade is still the best way of upgrading it.
@Zachbrew: What you described is a good tactic, but in GemCraft Chapter 0! In GCL combining high grade gems with low grade ones boost their stats, but combining equal gems and increasing grades is more efficient. Don't mislead people.
@FusionPickle: I agree with You fully, but now that I have played the game a bit longer (level 1000+) I see that premium content removed some of the challange and difficulty. Even full WGTF endurance runs are no longer problem. I hope the coming GC2 will have some additional content for premium players (a second campaign maybe?)
@kingdude89 when You open the meeting room and start modifing a mission You choose two patsies: one to plot with you, then one to kill (the latter is optional). Hope I helped!
I wanted to evacuate to the Moon and defend myself with flamethrowers like it is recommended in the top comments, but I can't! I have stolen all level 1, 2, 3 and almost all level 4 science, I have more than 50k cash, but in the evac base window all bases are locked! Can anyone help? What am I doing wrong?
I have just beaten the Doom Machine level and I was hoping for another cool prize in the vein of blood-fueled car when
it just made me die in the end
! Terribly disappointing!
A few tips from me: 1. Place bomb celles next to missle celles - it won't make a batch, but will equip deployed bombs with missle launchers, making them become turrets. You can use them to create a mine field before entering new area, then lure enemies into it. 2. If you didn't figure that out yet, map colors mean: green - your current position, blue - home / respawn point, red - boss area (where boss was spawned, not necessarily its current position) 3. Save whenever you can, initiate self-destruct if you lose any cells. 4. Please [+] if I helped!
Serdeczna tarcza :]
