Bug: Going uphill, with very low speed? Just go to another tab in your browser (Chrome here) and back after a second - the car will be below ground and magically appear at the very top, for a long drop down, and hopefully some bombs...
@iCreepzs You are correct. Most games are not about customization. I guess the only ones "about customization" are paper-doll games.
I just find it funny how, not customized, it is in a vast majority of games a male protagonist. The male buff (because darn, those muscles, eh?) champion is the norm, and being able to play female is obviously a privilege I should be thankful for in the handful of games where this is an option.
Thing is, the predecessor had this option, and this one doesn't. And I really enjoyed the first one. And apart from that this is a very customizable game. Hair styles, beards, what armor should show etc. Why not bother making a female sprite?
Because it's not as trivial as you think. Every piece of armor and equipment is a separate graphic, which are composited together. That means to support female characters, a LOT of art needs to be re-done. I couldn't afford it during development. I can now, and I have an artist working. Female characters will be added in a 2.0 update later this year.
@Davtwan I would still have played it, if it hadn't been for the fact that I am forced to play the stereotypical male (manly as frick) adventurer. Guess I might have been a bit harsh, but I am so tired of being forced to adapt to a chauvinistic environment, just because I enjoy games...
As mentioned before; last map. Splash tower "big bertha" does not fire after upgrading the homing missile. Without it, and with cluster, everything is fine. But when i bought the homing upgrade it just stopoped firing. Making my tactics quite useless...
Why is it that all these kong-RPG's assume you want to play a stereotypical, but gorgeous, male hunk? Female characters please. This is usually why I dont go past the character creation screen on what otherwise seems to be rather promising games.
Have you seen the faces? Most are ugly! I hear you though and I plan on adding women and different skin colors in the future. Please understand the amount of work that takes though and why it may not be worth it to add to the first version of a game before you know it's going to be a hit :)
Good game overall. In a sequel Id like to see more options available, like upgrades.
One thing though; I had, as always, all sounds muted (including music) but the end sequence played it's epic tunes anyhow. Something I found VERY annoying. If I mute, I want it to stay that way.
Before having played it;
I have great expectations. I loved the original bubble tank games (stunningly well made), and I do like certain TDs. I think this could turn out great.
a repetitive game with interesting and elaborate, yet easily exploitable mechanics. The lacking of a good story (the questlines dont really cut it) and too linear an uppgrade system pulls another few points away.
For me this game ends at a 2/5; its fun for a few minutes, then its just annoying (since I have to finish all these games..)
Cant seem to get the 30 second scraping feat, and ive been scraping close to 1000 seconds. I can buy the connected item in the shop, but my feat wont register.
And dont tell me i need 30 sec in a row. God knows ive been trying to find a laser staying on screen for 30 sec...
This hasnt happened to me before, but this time I logged on both MC and MC2 are "too big" for the kong-screen. I mean, it is as if Im watching a wide screen movie on normal. Missing a part on the right hand side. It takes away some of the fun of it...
