One strategy I used is to attack the blight matrons right away. Since they spread blight wherever they go, you stand a chance of preserving the least damaging spaces. It is a risky strategy, but it allows you to kill the little ones when they are on already blighted spaces while you protect the less blighted ones as your safe(r) haven.
anybody beat legendary with the rogue? I did it with Warrior and Mage, but Rogue is proving very difficult as they take too much of a beating without dishing out enough damage.
Where is my arcade high score of 62?! What is the point of being number 1 at a point-and-click pretend soccer skills competition if you can't let everyone know about it!!!
Passes not resulting in goals? Try lobbing the pass deep into the box so that your teammate runs onto the ball and shoots from as close as possible. Also, the lower tier teammates suck - you will only get reliable scoring from upper tier players. I once had six assists in a single game using this technique.
Is Burrito Bison related in any way to M. Bison? Merciless, likes to stomp on heads, surrounds himself with flames then dives at enemies... sounds like father and son to me.
For some of the harder missions, launch Bison in survival mode and then go do something else, such as your job if you are at work like me. Just by random chance you will complete most of those "squash gummy X with gummy Y" missions and get easy cash.
I LOVED the original Double Dragon and was a big Abobo fan, so this game is pretty much a perfect nostalgia piece. Add some Abobo throws/slams and I'll be in old school NES heaven.
Good game but I beat it on my second try once I got the hang of it. Played on the free mode after beating last boss for a while, then beat the last boss again with no hits. It's fun though to max out the stats and go on a rampage against the little guys. :)
Anybody beat legendary mode? I can take down everything but last battle and one previous to entering the "boss" area where you fight one golem, two guards, and a mage. Damage levels are just too high to mount any offense.
@orville (or anyone else), any tips on how you got through the game on legendary, such as character class and skills/magic choices? I agree about the beach, but I've managed to get past it and now I am struggling with those 2v4 fights (4 skeletons, 4 wolves, etc.)
It was fun, not much different than the others though, and probably a bit of a regression. The hero unit is useless cause he gets killed in seconds, ending the battle, so there is no point in even sending him in there. Ranged units are way too dominant as well, just like in the other versions.
