Let it run too long and it slows to a crawl. It affects the update rate in odd ways, so that I'm not getting as much damage output compared to the enemies. It works to stop auto-progress for afk players, so I'm not sure if intended or possible memory leak.

If I buy the wings before I buy the engine, I don't seem to have gotten any benefit. Wouldn't just having wings give you some ability to glide?

It needs some sort of penalty for letting enemies by. If there already is one, it isn't enough to be noticed.
