What in the ever living **** requires 2 GB of memory for some idle game? And the game stops loading there because the browser refuses to hand out more than 2 GB.
Good incremental game due to its active focus. A bit of a shame that mostly red seems to be the preferred strategy; it could do with more strategical twists. Recommend playtesting by watching a friend play it for an hour; you might find usability improvements.
I dunno how much you need for 500 newspapers but that's probably an insane amount. So that will take a little bit, but besides that this is just a massive skip button for the entire game.
I have 112k angel investors.
I had 200 of everything (just reset, had been playing for 1 hour or so).
Update came...
I now have 500 Oil rig, 500 bank, 700 lemon stand (idk lol), and 400 of the rest. If I reset now, I gain... 357 358 359 ... it's going too fast! Each second I get at least 1 more million angel investors if I were to reset. This pretty much ruined the game =/.
Lol all the testing you do and then this happens
=D
Did you know Kongregate comes with a preview mode? You can plonk an old save in there, test it out and watch it happen. This would have been spotted in 10 seconds if you used a savefile that had a game in progress. The bug is that the achievements are reapplied...
THE GAME DOESN'T PROGRESS IF IT'S IN AN INACTIVE TAB, OR AT THE VERY LEAST, AT 0.1x SPEED - THAT ON IT'S OWN IS 1/5 FOR AN IDLE GAME - WHAT THE HELL, DEVELOPER
Clicking away from the main screen means the monster has full health again. I assume later monsters can take up to 5 minutes to go down - why waste player time?
Furthermore the interface is lacking severely, missing things like a readout of earnings/time, the upgrade screen has you clicking multiple times for multiple upgrades, the upgrade screen DOESN'T show you the prices until you click on it, which means "what can I buy" a hassle...
The game's screen is HUGE! It might be better to play on half the resolution so I can see what's going on in the menu's. It's also frighteningly slow on the menu's. Lastly, when entering your name, backspace puts you back on the main menu - this goes against intuitive design (it surprised me majorly).
You can press shift to backspace in the name entry - not intuitive, I know, but the backspace event is set up like that for the android port _ I will look into revamping the name entry to be more keyboard-friendly in the future.
As for the resolution - use Control+mouse wheel or Control and the - key to zoom out your browser window and fit it all in one screen. I am looking in to having the resolution be customizable or detect your screen's resolution, but that feature may take a while.
Regarding the menus being slow - are you using Chrome or Firefox? It runs pretty well for me in Chrome.
Thanks so much for your feedback!
EDIT: I've changed the resolution to 640x448 down from the 1280x900 it was! I still need to look into making the name entry work a little better on the PC version, though - probably need some flashing tutorial text in the main menus just so people don't need to read the instructions/keybinds elsewhere.
How do you go to the next level? I've got all the monsters dead and cleared the level of any items as well, but I don't see any way to go to the next level.
This shouldn't happen anymore with the last expedition update.
