Very little strategy involved. Mostly just a pay to win model. It's all about having really nice cards. If you own them, you win. If not, you lose. What you do in a match doesn't matter very much compared to some other strategy games out there.
It's pointless to hit anywhere besides the chest. The head is harder to hit and has just as much armor/hp. Legs and arms are just as well guarded, but don't instantly knock the enemy out of the fight. It would be nice if there was some reasonable alternative to hitting the chest.
Why does the Whelp show a picture of a flying creature when it doesn't have flight? I've sent that thing in to attack several times thinking I had a free flight attack :)
Double lightning attacks should not do the extra damage to vulnerable types. There are too many lightning cards out there that do 6-10 points of damage in a turn. That's an absurd amount of damage for cards that take 3-4 turns to get out. Also, just get rid of Terror and Push-back. Terror 2 can effectively stun most of an army. Push-back is like Delay on steroids with the bonus that it also destroys equipment. Just keep Delay. Don't try to spin another bigger power off the same concept.
Nice game. Very enjoyable. Needs a speed up button and later bosses have too many hit points. Bosses with a few million hit points aren't more challenging. They just take a LONG time to wear down. I just equip a couple characters w/ freeze weapons and then leave my army to beat up on the boss while I go and do something else.
Great game. Love the concept and very well done. Would love to see a sequel or patches to this game.
Harder and Insane are just stupid difficult. Low food, housing and morale. People die super easy and you are constantly hit w/ bad events: food spoilage, illness, people dying of bites, hordes, etc. The hardest levels seem less skill oriented and more luck driven, w/ the deck heavily stacked against you. Seems like the hardest levels would present plenty of challenge by just setting some of the variables against the player, not all of them.
Please don't place a link to "more games" in the play area. Players end up clicking the link by mistake during a fight and are suddenly carried over to a new browser tab.
noanoa - please start reading the comments posted here. You keep putting out patches, but they aren't addressing people's main complaints. Some easy things to change: suicide guy should be slower and have less hp; more AP per round; gimp the enemy HP % increase event; make House cheaper; make chickens cheaper; make items sell for higher....the economy of this game is really out of messed up. After that start focusing on good item distribution, appropriate wave strength and accurate aiming. This game has promise, but only if you fix the playability issues.
Downgrading this game from a 3/5 to a 2/5. Played it a bit more, because it seemed to have some neat potential. Unfortunately, there are too many things wrong with this game to make it truly enjoyable. Aiming is completely screwed up. Many types of weapons are completely useless. Also, many types of NPC's don't contribute anything to the fight. Most of this game is pure luck instead of being a skill based game. If you enjoy constantly having to replay levels then go ahead and play. Otherwise, just wait until the developer fixes the balance issues.
Interesting game with a lot of potential, but it has terrible game balance. Enemy waves are unbalanced making it extremely easy at times and impossible at others. There seems to be no balancing on the items in the store/dropped vs your party composition/level. Also, the aiming is iffy at best. The red aiming reticule is not a guarantee of a hit. Overall, has some level good elements, but needs some game play balancing. 3/5
