Lvl 25 fight and especially "boss run" mode fight duration is just stupidly long(successfull boss run will probably take almost half an hour). Badges difficulty is fairly reasonable, though. Red high HP/regen ship is by far the easiest to use; healing bomb is probably the best as well, since it heals even red ship to full, and other bombs can only prevent 1 instance of dmg. Also, don't forget that you can equip second usefull ship upgrade like defence laser or shield instead of that warp core crap if you aim for badges. All weapons seem to have close dps against bosses except laser(lower) and plasma(higher), perhaps.

It's a really nice, quite a complicated game with loads of upgrades and different currencies. And with the raid minigame it needs something like action-rpg tags, cause it's definetely far from idle. I liked it a lot, though. And I felt like it actually starts out quite non-idle for a new player, at least it punishes you a lot in terms of goldgain, if you don't sell trash and combinables, and bags fill up in like 5 mins. But later on it seems like it changes since only quest gold gets buffed by upgrades. The stupidest thing about it is the fact that autosell mod is the most expensive one, while it's power presumably fades tremendously when a player can afford it.

Solid game. I liked the no grinding part a lot, but the invincible grannies bug is quite a troublesome one since they block your non-AoE shots too. Start with shotgun upgrades; it's a decent weapon even lategame, and you have enough ammo to finish first lvls anyway. Minigun upgrade is a great option too once you get it since it has decent dps and very large ammo capacity. Laser and launcher have even higher dps, but they don't have as many ammo, so upgrade them later, probably...

Poisoner is pretty strong but boring. You can just spam his unblockable poison special and use paralize to counter any strong attack. Early on it even ends fights quite fast. You just need some manapool to deal with dispel and some HP to not get oneshotted by ice stun(or something similar). It's probably convenient to have finisher and poison cap at 40 for it later on. It doesn't even matter much what other spells or spelldmg you have.

That's a surprisingly great game for such a low rating. "Clean sweep" is how the game is supposed to be played, I'd say. You don't even need to reload for it, but just go back to menu when you see yourself in a clear disadvantage. The weirdest thing about the game is the timer, though. You can just damage most opponents a bit and wait for the timer to run out instead of trying to kill them since their pattern usually become harder as they lose HP. Also, in the last fight it seemed like the boss collapsed as the timer ran out, but no win screen appeared. It only did so when I actually finished him.

You may need to change your display frequency to 60 for blueprint aquatic hard 3. So, even though the level itself is very easy, it can turn into an impossible one for some ppl, because the robot on the platform moves too fast for the last block to be demolished in time.

That's quite a decent game. It's nice that every next weapon isn't just straight up better than previous one. Pistol has probably the second highest dps after chainsaw while being medium range. So you can finish the first circle just with the pistol, saw is really good at lvl8, though, but obviously bad against ranged enemies(bosses happen to be ranged too in this game, btw).

I usually like this genre of games, but... Not only the game is quite a grind fest overall, but last lvl is impossible rng crap as well, which takes pretty large amount of time per try to boot.

Ah, the hardest game in the world as BoTD again. Srsly, even this medium badge is likely harder than any hard and even some impossible ones... I personally wouldn't agree with complaints about lag. The game seems to work quite fine for me, but it just made inhumanly hard.

That's a really nice elaborate game for a flash, as far as I remeber, one of the best action games out there. You shouldn't fixate on continuing your combo too much in loot run, but concentrate on survival instead when things get hard. Dying is worse than losing the combo. :D It might sound like a pretty obvious advice, but still...

4) Boss stats in the 'Trial' area seems to also scale with you average item lvl. Which I really like, cause it makes it the only really challenging thing in the game, other lvls are usually a matter of equipment. So it might be easier to beat the boss with lower lvl ship items while having more lvls in hero armor and weapons, +dmg and hero hp enchants may also be usefull. Although I'm not sure about that. Points in 'berserk' or 'shield' definetely help though. P.S: + this, as always, if it helped you to understand the games mechanics better.

3) Enchanted items in the shop also scale with your highest lvl equipped item. While normal items only scale with your respective slot equipment. More than that, dropped items in the 'trial' area and through the whole hard mode have slightly higher lvl than your average equipped item lvl too. (At least with maxed 'loot tree'.) But the problem is you don't really have other options exept crafting early on, since you don't have talents to spend in the loot tree, so you don't get good drops(if at all) neither you have money to buy new items in the shop cause of that. This game looks like a really hard work for a flash game. GJ on that. Fun fact is that the game is much better balanced on hard difficulty, btw. 1) It's not even 'grindy' like many ppl complain, it's just... well kinda long for a flash game. 2) I also think crafting is NOT really an exploit. Items progression at the start of the game is just messed up overall. I mean, how else would you get better items if they don't increase in lvl? Continued in the next comment...

That's the kind of bullet hells where you think, you are trying to beat the game, but in the end upgrades do it for you. :) Nice game anyway, not too grindy, and certainly not boring(like a lot of crap which gets BotD sometimes).

In fact it's not as bad p2w bullshit as it seems from the first glance. :D The game is actually pretty interesting and strategic and energy cap doesn't force you to log in every hour. You can play it for free without too much trouble, except a bit OP prem characters... But why the hell did you make these stupid raid cards? In other games like that you just gain the ability to raid after you donate something, here no matter how much you pay your energy cap always escapes your daily raidcards amount...

Is this game supposed to be played by humans? Because even the easy badge is pretty hard. And impossible... well, it's probably easier to learn how to play real guitar, or at least make a bot to complete it for you even if you don't know anything about coding at the present moment.

It's a really decent diligently done game for an idler, it has quite a lot of features and really well thought microtransactions with moderate benefits. However, I find it more 'semi-idle' than really idle. May be it changes after the one has like 50k-100k+ idols but for beginners it requires pretty frequent attention. More than that, a player receives almost no benefits at all while being offline(apart from a few XP and gold to finish a clutch objective), which is kinda unusual for an idle game. Although missions help to solve it a bit, most of them can be done simultaneously with farming/doing objectives too...

Developer response from Codename_Enter

Thank you for the thoughtful review. Glad you're enjoying Crusaders. Other games we've tried only had minimal offline gains as well, but at least you do get the gold while offline, to help with progress when you load the game again.
