interesting fun fact: beating reciful the first time breaks the game. It involves stalling him in the choke point while gely soul pacts him to death, and the fight never ends if you kill him.
I've always wished that these games could have a sandbox mode where there is no time limit. Mostly because I'm that perfectionist who feels a need to max every single stat and get the best gear in a game of randomly generated loot.
Amazing game. I actually think the combat is better than Sonny, since you directly control Rogan (although I'd like to control his level route).
The biggest issue I had was the inventory sorting. Personally, I think a check system would work better, where you check off what categories to show, with another set of boxes for "any" or "all" of the marked. So you could set it to show weapons for rogues only, or just gear for mages. Also, have a checkbox that removes equiped items from the menu to make it easier to not accidentally sell them.
I'd have liked to see more party members, mostly to fill out the classes. Also, building as a tank has no advantage, since there is only one ability that allows for tanking, and in this game at least you're taking damage for a warrior. I actually built double glass cannon, and used lots of stun.
Amazing game. I really like how the "thing" you're known for is the fact that you never use the same mechanic twice. Keep it up, your games are always a breath of fresh air.
*applause* I never would have thought such a simple game with controls I would normally consider annoying beyond belief could have been so entertaining. excellent job.
Heads up to everyone, I tried modifying Sisily's tank build with Arcane Earings (basis of energy=damage from lunar eclipse, arcane earings=energy from dealing damage, meaning a third part to the loop for the build). Sadly, that was apparantly too overpowered even for this game, as it does not work.
@Fig Hunter: the fact that it isn't fair to compare them won't stop people. I for one remember the ratings war between Sonny and Gemcraft. I don't even think they belong in the same category.
@14569: I think Wings of Genesis is the sequel. I checked here (the sponsor for Wings), and I checked Armor (the sponsor for this one), but those two are all there is.
Incase you people griping about the ArmorGames exclusive stuff, I've seen at least one game with stuff exclusive to Kongregate. And, incase you haven't notice, ArmorGames is sort of a free website, so what's the big deal?
Sheepman, ironically, despite spending three hours using warriors on that map, I disagree. Mordrid in the second row, one away from the turn, then fire mage on the other side of that row, then a fire hero to boost the fire mage. Fire mage goes to Quickspell, eventually he becomes Blessed by Holy light, Attack speed 1, range 3, damage around 110.
Fun little game. Very good for a first time. For future ideas, I agree with Johnathanasdf, as wll as maybe due the standard leveling system that allows you to purchase ammo and stuff with points. Just look at most of the highly rated shooters to see what I'm talking about.
Advice if you make a second one: 1) Add a save feature. Please. 2) that's actually it for modifications you can make. I'd like it if Kongregate provided a hard/immpossible badge (ENDURANCE) for fully upgrading everything then winning the game.
