A starting hint: Cut off the enemy from the upper land by a Knight. Don't worry about the insufficient funding, this is a good strategy in this map to try to always cut off the enemy from land, even if you cannot afford the next round. They will be restricted over time in the inner small region.

@tigra: It is kind of a try-and-error level. Try experimenting with dividing the enemy's land, so it has the least amount of gold left. What worked for me (and spoiler if there is only one solution): for the first move, expand diagonally to the top left from the most left hexagonal by villagers, then expand diagonally from the middle part to the top right with 3 more villagers (creating a V shape land). If you did it right, you'll have 20 gold left and the two knights can't get paid.

The lag decreased around 25 ug, but the game was still laggy. I tried on Chrome, and it works fine, Firefox causes the lag. I updated the old version (75) to the most recent (76.0.1.) but I have the same problem.

I didn't find specifically the issue around 900ng or 25ug, but I see that Firefox indeed takes longer to display the enemies than Chrome. Maybe, on your machine, the time taken to process each frame around these values exceed the time limit, inducing the lag. Anyway, I will work on performance enhancement, and most likely will add some options to the player to control the number of backgrounds spawned. This will surely solve the problem :) EDIT: I have made some performance enhancements, and also added the option to lower the number of backgrounds.

Nice concept, but gets lagging after 900 ng. If I shrink under 900 ng it goes back to normal. I assume new creature appears on 900 ng which creates the lag.

Hi Poetice, thanks for the feedback. I tried running the game with time elapsed measurements to figure out what the problem could be. However, I didn't notice any sudden differences around 900ng. Did you manage to play any further to see if the problem fades away at a given size? No new enemies or backgrounds spawn around this size.

I have finished the game, really enjoyed it. I think the hardest part is when you have to shoot through a hole after jumping. Maybe the ammo count should decrease only when you hit a valid (blue or red) block.

6x08 got me but I will definitely try to beat this later, easy 5/5 from me. I just realized that 3x01 is a tutorial level for managing multiple guys. It points out, that when the space is rotated by one, the other keeps the direction independently of the rotation. I rushed through this level earlier without realizing this, and I had to figure this out by myself when I faced a real challenge relying on this info. Maybe a replay would help when the player finished a level, so the player can see from the start what really happened. One more thing, play/pause should be separated from restart button. Sometimes I really just want to pause to observe the level then continue.

The game should start with a menu, which could contain new game, continue game (no need to skip all the previous levels after reloading the game), level selection, sound/music switch (just like at the tutorial levels). A menu button could be at the top left corner during the game also.

Put an arrow pointing to the right on the wall where the entrance is, just like the already given arrow. But I hear you, I had to play again the tutorials to fully understand the mechanics. If you get the concept, it is a fun game, but it would be useful, if I could rotate the level. It requires a menu too.

I think you should redesign level 50 because it has a unintended clue. SPOILERS http://oi66.tinypic.com/2l890qv.jpg As I thought, the final steps should be the one on the bottom left corner (the sixth purple box), which leads to a full purple bottom line. But these boxes can be figured out much earlier. The main concept is that every level can be done without guessing. If we accept that, then we can be sure, that the bottom left corner is purple. Otherwise it leads to ambiguous solution. There are only two clues for each box in the green rectangle, the two "unbroken sequences" clues. These can be satisfied several ways filling the boxes from right to left because it does not change the number of any sequence.
