I wonder about a Cost to Next Achievement readout? This would make the early and later stages of the game (where you are working in 25, 50, and 250 unit increments) easier to calculate.
This is a good game, though I agree with a lot of the suggestions about economics and menu design. I can only assume someone has already suggested this, but I'd also like to see a "magnet" upgrade that increases the ability to pull metal and some way to make it a little less difficult to lose the ship, enemies, and bullets in the smoke and background. Brighter colors perhaps?
I imagine that the reason the royals all die so easily in this game is because they all have hemophilia thanks to years of inbreeding a la the Austrian Hapsburgs.
