This was very original in both ideas and mechanics. The way it is designed also leads for great replayability, while the levels do not become too overbearing. I'm impressed with this game, well done.
It's a shame, really. The previous games had such a simplistic flair to them, it made them instant hits. This is the sort of game that doesn't -need- a storyline, or better graphics, or intro sequences. That is not what made the first two games impressive. Honestly, it feels like the series got lost in its own sequels and is now trying to be something it isn't, to poor effect.
