F.e. when I've unlocked tier 2 classes, I've went to e400 with the Archon - with executing different phases (buildup, void mana, burst etc.), leveling corresponding items etc., and as I remember I've exiled every extra e10 or so I've gained through the run

Hard to tell without knowing what's going on on your side. For now best suggestion is to pick some guide on the wiki, depending on your Paragon level/number of mysteries etc.
