TERRIBLE.
- music way too repetitive
- delay between landing and jumping
- no shadow
- near impossible to tell when you're going to fall off
The game would be better if you were just a dot jumping between 1 pixel lines, at least that's how I feel you coded it in the first place.
Terrible. Memory leaks making it unbearable by level 15, 800 MB used. Can hardly see enemy bullets. The badges begin to become a "race the disappearing memory".
This portrayal of the overhead shooter stands out somewhat more than others. Luminara is very well designed and fast paced. Weapon upgrades would be nice, but might make the game too easy. One suggestion that would not effect gameplay would be to limit the debris from killing an enemy. There were times where I lost where my turret was because there were so many blinking shapes in a condensed area.
This is a pretty good game overall. The 2d death-match is kind of a favorite casual game genre of mine. More health pickups could be an improvement, and more ammo pickups for the more powerful guns. Also, I know it is one in a series of Thing-Thing games, but story mode was very short. Different types of enemies would also be a good improvement.
adding on to the point-and-click genre is a good concept. very nice job with the graphics as well. however, to beat it, you have to guess a seemingly random string of choices that have little to no leeway for mistakes making this an extremely frustrating game to complete having to play the game from the start every time you mess up.
The random damage roll for monster v. monster fights is ridiculous. At least reduce it to +/- 1 or 2 instead of 0-max damage if you don't want to remove it at all. There is basically no strategy to deck creation or to this game in general other.
