They make challenging and heroic WAY too hard to play. Tried heroic for 7 -8 hours today and can't get past Captain Hunt, so unfortunately had a poor experience with this game. The enemies' HP is too strong, even if you play tactically (take out their bluffs) and they make enemies' buffs too powerful. 1/5 stars.
Worst game of The Last Stand franchise.
+ves: good weapon selection
-ves: way too many glitches. I died in one round and tried to replay that day. The whole game rebooted.
The waves are too hard too early on. Consider making the difficulty go up gradually instead of having massive hordes attack you on night 2 when all you have is the pistol.
The bugs in this game are extremely annoying. Seems like every game I play, no matter which campaign I decide to pursue, has a glitch (the game freezes midway or there is lag). I can't play using the steam version since I don't have a windows computer. Not everyone has a mac. 2/5 stars.
I used to find this game enjoyable especially when I was a lower level, but I'm noticing that the more I play, the less enjoyable it gets. Here is a summary of what I have encountered:
1) The contender battles become impossible to defeat: no matter how many times I respec my characters and change attributes accordingly - e.g. putting everything into speed - the contender opponents (especially in the Rome coliseum) are still faster than me even though my speed is 300+.
2) The blacksmith gives you not good items, considering how hard it is to acquire metals if you don't invest real money in the game - out of my 5 silvers, I got three two-handed items and I don't even use two-handed items. I found this disappointing, considering I was well over level 50 and I was saving my metals throughout the entire game. The developers should also make gold more readily available.
Overall, decent game. Past level 50, certain elements make the game very discouraging.
