one very small criticism: the shield being blue means it's hard to really tell in the first 250 if you have one or not. just a little aesthetic thing. would be nice to know whether or not it's on without having to focus on it.

I agree with the developer. there are some similarities but this is its own genre. amorphous is a brilliant game, as is this one. there are more than enough differences between the two for this game to warrant the 5/5 i gave it.

I disagree. It's like amorphous in basic design, but you couldn't move that fast in amorphous. you couldn't use projectiles and your sword was slow, and the upgrades unlock in a linear fashion here whereas amorphous allowed for choice. The art style is simple for a reason: it's about CELLS. I love both games, and for those that feel that this game is an amorphous "ripoff", doesn't that mean every tower defense game is a "ripoff" of an earlier version? it's a genre, people. the correct word is successor.
