This game needs a lot of work.
The most frustrating part of the entire thing is the apparent uselessness of the AI, followed closely by the extremely repetitive strategy you're forced to use when your partners inevitably die off. I speak, of course, of the "roll around in circles waiting for your skills to come back up" strategy.
Having no choice other than to do that makes gameplay extremely stale, and frankly, the only reason to play your game isn't to get a sense of enjoyment out of it. Rather, it's just to get 51 points towards your next level.
Tightening hit-boxes, graphic delays (oh how I love the invisible spears from outside the screen), and keyboard inputs are clearly needed.
2/5 for stale, slightly problematic gameplay, standard graphics, and a decent soundtrack.
The best thing this game could use, along with a survival mode is a differently colored cross-hair. I can't count the number of times when I couldn't find where I was pointing my robot.
Why is it that all my team mates only start running for the ball when it is literally a few feet away from them? Shouldn't they at least be able to predict something as easy as a ball pass?
The Time deck is so over-powered. So much rage from the stupid Deja Vu and Reverse Time cards. I had built up juggernauts, and then boom, back to the deck with you.
RAAAAAAARRRGGGHHHH!!!
No matter what I do, the Colosseum manager doesn't let me start fighting. He constantly says "All gladiators must at least have a sword to fight. Go and get one and come back." Even though I've got that little stump thing. Help?
@zeewildone: I think you need to have bought three draft packs in order to redeem them. I don't think you can redeem them individually. Drove me insane as well.
I know this is kind of a small thing to give attention to, but I was simply blown away by the quality of writing that was put into the game. Something I see quite often is a wall of text that nearly overflows with typos and other grammatical atrocities. However, the story I read at the beginning was both engaging and entertaining. It really set up the game quite well.
On a side note, I'm loving the combat mechanic. Simple concept with nice art, and the card descriptions are very fun to read. Keep up the good work!
How come the moves you get during sieges is limited to three? It's really frustrating when all the enemy's units are able to attack and only a fraction of mine can respond.
You gotta get that stump to look more like a sword! Who's good with wood?
