It was a dark and chilly night in the forest. A light breeze blew through the branches of the trees and caused the water of a nearby lake to ripple slowly. Sitting at the water’s edge was a young girl. She gazed into the hazel eyes of her reflection, her expression emotionless yet somber. Her short blonde hair, which bobbed around her neck, danced lightly in the wind. She gave a small, quiet sigh, closing her eyes and diving into the water. She didn’t seem to care in the slightest that her clothes, an outfit consisting of a dark violet long-sleeved dress and white stockings with a pair of black boots, were getting soaked. She floated limply on the surface of the water, now staring up at the starry sky. She softly sang a somewhat eerie tune to herself, a very small and faint smile crossing her pale lips. “Kyrie… ignis divine eleison. O quam sancta, quam serena, quam benigma, quam amoena. O castitas lilium…” The song was Latin, and its name was Lilium. Finishing the song, her smile widened, and she slowly closed her eyes.
