Tokkun, can you please add an import/export file option so we can back it up easier? I'm going to lose my +3 ascension save file yet again because my computer can't find it. It's been 40 minutes, and yes I'm letting it search through hidden folders.
You can use the Backup Help button in the main menu to locate your savefile more easily, or seek additional help from the game chat. People are more than willing to help you find your savefile. I understand that an import/export button may be useful, but Flash has some security-related stuff that will not allow me to do that :(
The mini-transactions and the wait time drive me away. I loved the castaway series, but this isn't an idle game. It's not worth my time or money to get on, play 5 minutes, and then walk away because the tools or gear I need broke/aren't ready yet. I'll pay if I'm having fun. I'm not having fun yet and am already running into a barrier.
In the sequal Pingy should get a pet of some sort. Feeding the pet burgers gives a reward whenever it's fed depending on how happy the pet is. The pet is happy when you play with it every so often and feed it X amount. Overfeeding makes it sad, same with starving it, or neglecting it.
The balance of the black smith compared to the smelter and miner seems off. I can't afford to keep up with upgrades and I started yesterday. I turn around with all three at the same level, get 700 ore, 500 bars, and the smith is lagging even father behind by the second. Yet the smith's upgrades are massive. I can't afford the better upgrades untill The smith does his job and I can sell the fruits of his labor. That just doesn't seem right.
Good choice Greg! I love how this bullet hell game has the option to not use a mouse and is more laptop friendly than most. The levels are interesting and the bosses are different enough to keep it interesting. I just wish there was an option to start at the beginning, some of the in-game achievements seem impossible without that option.
For an Idle, it's nice. However, the further along you get the worse the balance becomes. I came back after leaving this up all night to 5m gold and no damage to the block at all. It wasn't even enough to level all my characters up once. The block's armor rating is at 47, but my highest character level is at 25. There is just not enough reward or motivation to keep going.
Ok, there are some major balance issues in the game as it stands. Ghosts in your army are op. I like the ghosts trying to break free, but it doesn't work when I can just restart and keep my ghosts if I try enough. There needs to be some kind of a cut-off, like they escape if you get 2x the amount you can have via leadership or there need to be fewer peasants and faries in upper-level battles. I just found unicorns and didn't care at all cause my ghosts pwn everything I come across, and that just isn't right for a game like this.
Fair warning: If you see anything that looks like a ghost and you have faries or peasents in your army, flee. Just run. Otherwise you're gonna have a stack of 500 ghosts or so that will wipe the floor with you whenever you go near, and no, the gold you've been stashing will not buy back your army. Failure is unforgiving in this game, especially around ghosts.
This puzzle is a little too obscure for me. I'm having a tough time getting through level 1, the inscriptions and such are too cryptic. It's not fun to look at one panel for 10 minutes trying to figure something out. The concept is interesting, but at this point the sphere and pyramid I did find seem to have nothing to do with the puzzle at hand. This game is not for me.
Andrew, that last update helped a lot. Level 9 on very hard mode still took a half an hour and still felt like chance, but before it would have been impossible. 5/5 from me now.
beating level 9 on hard mode seems more like pot luck then actual strategy. I have no idea how extra hard mode would work on the level. It feels like no matter what I do, I can't improve my chances. That feeling is what keeps this game from getting a 5 from me.
I just uploaded version 1.04 which tones down the v.hard difficulty. It will help relieve the rng luck feeling that mission 9 has (and a couple of others)
An average gold earned per second or minute stat for each stage would help a lot with figuring out where we need to be in order to maximize the amount of gold we earn.
The balance seems way off. How can I progress when I die at every boss I attempt? There needs to be a better way to get decent items to help y characters along. This is one of the most painful medium badges I've yet to encounter.
