Woah. A well-put-together plot, and decent VOICE ACTING? In a flash game?!
I felt very badass dashing around with my giant sword and accumulating cooler and cooler armor. Very nice job, dudes!
I'm at a loss for what rating to give this. It's clear that you didn't spend very long on it and that it's not in the same league as other games I'd rate positively, but it's not bad at all for your first game.
So I think this game is actually pretty great. I know people are whining about balance issues, but this gives me the feeling of playing a "Nintendo Hard" or Arcade-style game. The only thing I'd really complain about are the floating skulls, which would be less discouraging if they either had less health or were way rarer. They're one of the most difficult enemies to bypass or "trick," which is how you get past everything if you're not a swordguy. And the only ways to land blows on them without getting hit require extreme, repetitive agility. It's annoying even if you get it down because you're just chipping away at them. When I get a level that throws three in a row at me, I stop playing for a few hours.
