Hey guys! I figured out the problem with not getting past the second screen in the tutorial! It's a firefox thing and it has to do with the flash player. I can't find the article I found to fix it but you have to go into your flash settings and mess with them. I'll look for the proper article.
I'm unsure if it's a bug or feature but for the challenges, Sylpheed doesn't gain any exp in them and thus even when using an auto-clicker I can't pass the first one. Still enjoying the game regardless.
Progression for Challenge mode is separate from the core game (As of the moment) Once you've left (fail or pass) challenge mode you'll receive experience for your challenge mode stats thus allowing you to push onwards in CM. GRRRRAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!! I was doing ridiculously well!!! I managed to get triple enchantment scrolls from one of those wishing wells and got it all on my staff, plus I had maxed out my fire attunment, plus I had a level two fire ring then I got teleported in the middle of this room filled with 8 bats and 2 golems and I couldnt manuver around them, they cornered me and killed me!
After increasing failures from the melee classes I went back to a storm mage to try and win that way... I got to floor 10, triple enchant on my staff, full storm magic and a double fortitude. I "cleared" the floor, got some stuff from the merchant and got jumped and double teamed by two skeleton warriors waiting around the corner. I had 18 health and they knocked me down to zero.
Attempt 70: I just found something interesting: the talent trainer is immortal. Or at least he's immune to poison gas considering that he's sitting right next to the vent like it's nothing. ...I'm really tempted to accept his training now...
Yeah this game has an intensive memory problem however I am rather impressed by the music. It's strangely fitting for both the arenas that it's in and the tone.
Attempt 60: I have finally done it. After many trials and tribulations I have succeeded where I had failed so many times! I don't understand why every video game luck system simply hates me but it doesn't matter! I have succeeded. I think after these 3 gaming sessions I am entitled to a break. For those curious on how I succeeded this time; I found at least 20 skill books/points this time around, half of whom were on the first five floors. Now I shudder at the thought of trying a melee class, but I will consider it.
Attempt 51: I spawned next to three bats this time. Not too bad but the damage right at the start is still annoying. I got half the books during this run. though to be fair they weren't that much help. It was a mechanical environment this time around. The amount of different arenas are quite surprising and a welcome change in scenery. Despite the changing dangers of course but it keeps it interesting. I think I'm going to stop to day and attempt it tomorrow. The triple ogres that killed me have annoyed me far too much.
Attempt 33: Finally made it past floor 7. It was a long time coming that I didn't get f***ed over on the first two floors considering the number of times I didn't get ANY healing items one those two floors or they were all used up due to ambushes and enemies I couldn't kill in time. After finally getting a break from the RNG for those floors I arrived on floor 10. There were 3 rotting corpses within my vicinity. I got demolished after wave and wave of maggots. I don't believe I will succeed any time soon.
It is officially my theory that the name of the hacker we're playing as is Someone. That's his legal name. On the birth certificate. I'm 98% sure of this... or perhaps it's simply his hacker handle... either way I'm sure of it.
I just discovered this but a message to new players! Once you've unlocked Ayano, go from her to the others, their dialogue changes in... interesting ways. PS: Well done devs on this detail.
Those Mega Tickets were a great addition... I would've apreciated if it didnt completely wipe out my progress on earth though... ah well, time to restart...
