The only thing that saves this game is the awesome art design. Otherwise waaaay too busy, and with a confusing (or rather, poorly explained) game mechanic too boot.
Lovely little interactive story-- the atmospherics and the soundtrack are just right. I was genuinely playing from the edge of my seat.
The gameplay, of course, leaves a bit to be desired. I would be thouroghly engaged if it were an actual "game", with levels, an upgrade system, etc.
For its limeted aspirations, however, it's perfect. 5/5
Great game, but it BADLY needs a savegame feature. It's a royal pain in the backside to have to play the whole campaign over again if you have to quit for some reason.
Before I attempt the multiplayer on most games, I want to play the single player game first to get a feel for the mechanics. The load times on the insanely huge movies before every level are so unbelievably long, however, that I find myself spending more time waiting than playing. 1 star for plot-induced unplayability.
