I absolutely refuse to leave this game going in the background so I can accumulate money. The whole draw of it was the ability to switch it off and still have the earnings when you returned. I am no where near invested enough in this game to have it continually running in the background and even if I was, I don't think that should be a mandatory portion of this game.
