I used to love this game (or previous versions at any rate. Now? The controls are garbage. I have tried both with the settings as high and low as possible, and there is still directional lag - I tap the arrow key, nothing happens. I hold it for a second, and I shoot in that direction and can't recover. Frustrating.
The music is VERY catchy, I enjoyed it immensely, and would have loved some option after beating it to just listen to a loop of each level. The game play was not too extremely difficult, although it was a bit on the short side. All in all, I enjoyed it, thanks!
Excellent game, but campaign mode DESPERATELY needs a save feature - trying to come back to my game only to find that all my research has been reset was very upsetting.
A noticable lag occurs at nighttime when a lot of zombies come out and are my defenses light up, but it is bearable.
Other than that, very well done - keep it up!
I really really enjoy Thing Thing... in concept. In Theory. Whatever. The lag in previous editions has been... frustrating? I guess is a good word. In this version it makes it broken. These games are fun and interesting enough that I would love to give them a 5... but with the unresponsiveness from lag - it gets a 2, at best. Please do something to fix it - turning down the graphics option does NOTHING to change this. I really want to ENJOY this game - until you fix it, I will suffer through it for the card, and little more.
Is there any way to alter the Intercept symbol? Several of my opponents have agreed that sometimes they hit this instead of switch - I am not sure if it is he arrow pointing back that brings confusion, or what.
After being dealt damage, the life total does not always update immediately, or properly - this can be confusing, especially when it shows a different number for a while. It is usually corrected before very long into the next round, but it has lasted long enough for me to choose a tactic I wouldn't otherwise.
A pause button would be very helpful - also the ability to rearrange units in the list. Is there any way for the bonuses that the upgrades give to be displayed with the standard attributes as a total - I know the math is simple, but it would add polish to the game. Very good overall - the variety in units and races is nice.
Kongregate: I love you. This was absolutely awesome. Making the most of the "holiday" was excellent, but to tap into Internet culture to do it, and then "reward" us for it also? Too cool. Thank you.
I want so very badly to love this game. But after spending more than four hours with it, I have no choice but to agree with so many others: the bots are retarded. Their pathfinding and AI is ridiculous. What was such an excellent game in theory is killed by the horrible behaviour of the bots.
