I like the game, but there is one thing I must complain about: The Difficulty Curve. Throughout most of the game, I just use Barrage to stun-lock most bosses. Even then, there isn't that much threat of death if I don't stun-lcok them. However, the final boss is like running into a brick wall. There was a DRAMATIC difference in difficulty between the second to last and final bosses of the game. Then the areas after the game are dramatically more difficult than the rest of the game. Bosses were insta-killing even my most durable party members, and I was ripping through revives and health potions between every single normal fight. It just wasn't fun at that point, and that's when I lost interest in the game. Once again, I do like the game, but it just becomes too punishingly difficult after the final boss.
An amazing game, I'll never deny that, but I will admit there are a few faults.
After a while I started playing for the story, which is rare in a FLASH game of all things. However, without wishing to spoil the story, there is a definite point where things drift away from sci-fi and towards fantasy. When this happens, a lot of plot points get haphazardly introduced, and it really weakened the main story. In the end, it was the enjoyable interplay between the beautifully crafted characters.
The gameplay didn't feel completely balanced. I found myself using only one or two weapons, disregarding the rest. In my case, it was the laser, which I disregarded once I got an upgraded wave, which I then forgot about when I got an upgraded chain. The perks felt relatively weak. They are relatively balanced against each other, but individually they didn't really feel powerful.
That being said, this is still an amazing game that I'd recommend to anyone who like a good JRPG and a good shooter.
Ways to fix lag:
1. cause session conflict by openning another game on kongregate.
2. Lower the quality
3. Turn off effects and the voice.
4. Make sure your internet connection is reliable
This game is AWSOME!!!!!!!!11 It is soo easy to make it LOOK like you are good when it is not all that hard. Only thing i might comment on is that IT HURTS. My arm like falls off after the first 10 minutes
lol after mashing my way through SCGMDX 3 i found it fun to play a easy guitar game. It is hella easy and i beat it on both hard and geek in 10 or so minutes. Still a fun game and sometimes, it no have to be hard to be fun. (Just look at the Worlds Hardest Game)
This is so fun and so hard. You encourge ppl to play to disprove that this is a hard game, but most fail utterably. I am just barely able to get to lvl 16
