Arrows follow simple rules.
Spoiler: start off with the triangle, then it's just the first off-colour block you encounter in the direction the last arrow is pointing.
Great game, definitely continuing with the full version!
SKILLS: Get the healing spell, that will literally your life saver. After you've reached about floor 20, go for Transmute. You don't need any other spell. Just go for the attack/def/xp bonuses, later on for the magic/mana bonus. LEVEL UP BONUSES: invest mainly, if not only, in attack/def (same goes for gems that let you choose the bonus). You'll thank me later.
CRAFTING & GEAR: for the first 25 floors or so, it really doesn't matter what you put on. I'd suggest around 10 mana regen (and a little heal regen).
Only from the ice floors on you'll really want to defend yourself against the specific attacks.
Try to clear the floors of monsters that don't hit you too hard for xp.
After level 65 or so, start thinking about keeping gear for all-round special attack protection (30). I'd suggest ninja gear for the end boss as well as a lot of potions stacked (buy them at every shop and try to sell your junk). I beat the boss in just 2 runs (1 restart around level 30 first time). Have fun :)
Today my save file got corrupted after resetting to Earth 2 at level 29. Is there anything that can be done, without backing up with another (quiet old) save file? I don't like having to do most of the levels again..
Thanks for the game anyway! Seen you upgrading, maintaining and upholding the game all this time has been great. Keep up the good work :)
Another typo found: some hint at the last level says something about 'thoseS colors'.
5/5. Challenging, forgiving and yet mesmerising. Looking forward for part_2 ;)
Some achievements should be rebalanced, like the one you get for killing cariers and the one receiving crates. In the end a carrier will come literally every 10 second, while you have to wait over 10 minutes per crate.
Also, if you decide to buy 'max' amount of Choppers, you buy 10 at the most per click.
I really agree with all the comments about being a too short of a game and the extra (harder) levels the game could implement. Also needs a mute button.
Thus far 3/5!
Find a way to end the mission manually. If you first go for all the baddies and then find out there's still 1 star or civilian missing, you have to start all over for no apparent reason :/
Is that really a condom hidden in room nr. 6, Rose Inn? :o
Such detail. Really liked the game overall. It gives the impression you're on a journey rather than search&find.. things, and the different layers make it quiet a lot harder than the other games in this genre I've encountered thus far. Good job!
Basically you're just running around, trying to dodge the werewolves until they blow themselves up. For that, -1.
Anyone going for the hard badge I recommend playing "Storm Before the Calm"with the narrower road. You have to go back to the menu and select it again, just "Again" won't do the trick. Just clearing the level will (almost) get you there. With the help of some upgrades and some mines you'll get your 500 points soon enough. Be sure to explore the edges, for there are a lot of points to collect near the trees just off the road.
Good luck!
An undo button would be nice indeed, but.. As OneFifth said: you can place the coin back to it's original place without penalty. Another thing is that you'd just have to think it thoroughly through; with an undo button people will just spam their moves and stop thinking.
So I'm like level 60, have all the weapons upgraded to level 6, almost fully completed normal mode but 1 challenge: "Kill 2 enemies with all weapons" (lvl 22: Outpost)..
I'm telling you, it's mission impossible with all the upgrades (or perks, or w/e you may call them) :/
@Magirock Start reading books or get a MP3 player of any kind. Game works for me, though it clearly is based on shoot the turtle (though no references). 4/5
REALLY needs a confirmation before restarting a game!
Accidentally clicked on restart instead of the unpauze and immediately my wave 29/34 in level 8 was thrown out of the window? Waste of time.. Rate up to prevent in future!
What about an achievement list ? That would really attract some people (me, for example).
Otherwise, simple but nice concept, fun to play (for a while, at least, longer with badges) ^^
Yeah, scrolling down would be nice, or at least some key remapping (but I guess that's the "guitar way").
I found this game quiet laggy too, don't know if it's my laptop (1.7GHz // 1GB RAM) / java / flash or whatever.. Therefore impossible to even try and attempt the impossible badge (I got lucky and did not lag long enough to perfect 3 pro's too though ^^ )
All in all: 5/5
Thanks for your comment and for the help! We'll fix it soon ;)
