Is there a shortcut for switching the lead character? If not, it would be a nice feature to quickly get all their reactions for things on the map (as they frequently have different things to say, but it gets to be rather annoying to switch characters to enjoy the extra dialog).
Up near round 32, you get like 1 friendly every 2 minutes. All you really do is stand near the enemy side pouring arrows and hope that your soldier gets through safely (once he bothers to show up).
A big bonus for completing a wave faster would help balance the game. As it is now, you are better off making each battle longer just to get more money.
8th play, 24hrs, 172 kills. Just a few minutes past the start of the second day. How? Use index and middle finger to rapidly fire. Stay near balloon and fix it while you reload. Don't let the monsters chase you (it wastes time). First gun truck, upgrade pistol fully. Never buy a fort or traps. Get shotgun + barrel extension from 2nd gun truck. Should be near 50% fixed after wave IIV. About 75% fixed at 7:37 PM. Get M5 assault rifle with full upgrades from 3rd gun truck. Don't bother shooting the flying enemies. As little damage as they do, you'll be fine lasting until your escape. 22hrs should be possible, if you can shoot fast enough!
(This is not an achievement or a trick to get one)
Thanks. How was I supposed to know this wasn't a trick? I was having fun, but I'm not going through it all again.
collision detection needs improved. I've shot rockets through opponents and chunks of planets before. Rather annoying when it ends up making you loose.
Love the style, but it is just way too easy. I never died with the Triclops warrior, rarely died period. What's the point of hundreds of characters if most of them are clearly inferior? And the elemental resistances never really came into play for me. This game has great potential, but still needs some work.
The bosses are fantastic. Really nice job on the designs.
I also like all the weapon systems you made. The lasers and chain lightning are my favorites. Zipping between flocks of enemies and shocking them to death, with a trail of lasers following behind to clean up the leftovers!
The actual levels too easy in comparison to the boss fights. It might be fun to have a mode where all the enemies are replaced with mini versions of the bosses!! Or just add more bullets.
In comparison to Frantic, your enemies are larger. And so, you have less of them on the screen. Give your regular enemies some tracking lasers or something to make it more interesting.
I would prefer to have a smaller hitbox for such a game. Trying to dodge all those bullets feels a bit clunky with the hitbox size as it is, and those missiles always seem to hit me too early.
selkie210: I'm on day 29 now and all I can say is... practice. Aside from all the strategies you learn, you eventually just get really really good at shooting things.
I love this game. Would really like to see a sequel.
I finally succeeded in beating the final level without taking any damage!! It took a lot of work. 2 automatic steam cannons and the a state machine for manually cycling between moving forward, moving backward, and crouching. I crushed the opponent during his second charge towards me.
Fantastic. But too short. For me, the controls were the best part! Too bad most people don't seem to like different and challenging things. I'd love to see more of this!
