This game commits some very grave video gaming sins. While I agree the game is too short and way too easy (given the fact that potions are over powered and I pretty much beat the game with a 3 star bow after dieing only once) I think the poor design choices are more important. The controls are way too floaty making it nearly impossible to accurately dodge anything. Thankfully, it's easy to just tank all the damage because every other enemy drops a heart, which was especially annoying on the boss fight. Speaking of hearts, who the hell thought that hearts and consumables blocking your path and slowing you down was a good idea?! With 20 of them on the screen, I ended up HAVING to take damage just so I could move around. Of course the worst of the design issues is probably the Armor Games link. After accidentally clicking it for the second time, I quit the game. The game has potential, but whoever designed it was an idiot.
It's nice to see a horror game that isn't all about jumpscares (except maybe one... totally saw it coming though) and loud noises. Though I am rather confused by the story, the game itself is pretty fun. The soundtrack is awesome and it really sets the mood for the game. Despite the graphics, the game still gave me the creeps. There is nothing like walking into a room and having the ambient sounds send a chill down your spine. The only complaint I had was with the feather. Obtaining it was a little odd (only happened to get it when I decided to use an item on everything when it didn't work on the piano), but that's just a small part of the whole game. Loved playing it, might have to play chapter 4 now just to see how season one ends.
Protip 16: This game does not suck... Yeaaaah wrong. There is no hope of advancement no matter how much you play it. That alone makes this game suck -.-
Good game... G button doesn't work so as soon as my companion dies, that's the end. One thing that pisses me off about that game is that I had 98 points in Pistol skill with a Pistol that had 7 acc on it and I still miss 50% of the time. Not to mention the weird ass hit boxes on some of the zombies... I was swinging my spiked plank and something in front of me but I kept hitting stuff behind me. How the hell does that make sense. Fix the bugs, make guns hit more than 50% of the time if you invest points in guns and I think the game would be great. 2/5 -.-
Had to comment on this because of this one bug... So I accidentally died while fighting a spell casting monster (think it was a chaos elemental) because as I was trying to run away, it kept blasting me with spells no matter how far I got away from it. After I died, I was running back to kill it and it was STILL blasting me with spells even tho it was on the other side of the map. Add this to the spell bug killing me and I'd have to say that this game doesn't deserve a very high score -.- Fix the major bugs before you release the game next time lol
Am I the only one that saw the "Oiled" upgrade and immediately thought of Justin Bieber all covered in oil?.... Wait... I am? Damn I feel like a loser now.
There is a thread in the forums about keys "sticking" during games. I had that problem but I currently can't remember the fix for it.
Anyway, about the game. It's pretty good but I'm sure I have the same complaints as everyone else. Needs tooltips on the stats so I know exactly what they do, instead of guessing and having to experiment with 10 different sets of armor just to figure out what "Health" and "Endurance" do. Besides, what's the difference between "Health" and "Life" anyway, most games they are just the same thing LOL. Either way, not a bad game but it is a little short and the lack of tooltips give it a bit of a cheap feel to it, like the game wasn't thought out much.
I hate when games are based so heavily on a storyline and writing then end up with typos and poor grammar. I admit it was an interesting game, but I'd really like to see just one adventure game like this with a good story that isn't painful to read due to errors in grammar and spelling.
The game isn't too bad. Kinda fun really. The only thing I hated about the game was how easy it was for the enemy to get to my back row characters... characters that only have 200 hp and are easily killed. It seemed like my shield guy in front didnt do anything to even slow down the enemies. I'd like to see more strategy involved... I basically loaded my party full of fire mages and killed the final boss no problem. There isn't really any place for melee and healers if the enemies just rush through the front lines and the healers just miss with every spell.
Madara Uchiha and Tobi are the same person, And I don't see how they have any soul sucking powers at all. The only power I've seen in the Naruto series that resembles soul sucking is from one of the Pains. But other than that, the game isn't too terrible. I would like a better aiming system. Aiming with the mouse would make it require more skill and less luck. Headshots shouldn't really be luck based at all. 25% chance that when you shoot someone in the effin head that it will actually hit them in the head? that makes no sense at all. I can understand having a chance to do a critical or RIP but a headshot is not percentage based in my opinion. The upgrades are a very good choice. I enjoyed playing the game for a while before it got boring lol. Assault rifle on an unarmed cop at point blank range and it took 10 shots to kill him? Maybe that's just a bug because it happened more than once on different enemies. Either way, not a bad game at all.
I know this game was "Inspired" by a bunch of other games. By "Inspired" I suppose he meant that all the sound effects were just ripped from those games. This game would be way better if it had a better aiming system. With bows it was especially bad. I don't even know how many times I shot the ground when I aimed above an enemy's head or how many times I shot over their heads when I was aiming at their feet. Made me feel like the main character was Link's fat alcoholic inbred cousin to be honest. Maybe if the aiming was sobered up and the sounds/art were more original then this game would get a good rating. Oh and though it isn't exactly necessary, proper grammar would be appreciated when it came to the instructions and everything else in the game. Just makes the creator seem like a tard with all of these negatives put together.
The game would be more fun if there werent so many major bugs. 1)In the build mode, sometimes it says that there is a pathway that isnt even supposed to be there. When I tried to move my cd shelf, the path stayed there which made it impossible to change the set up. 2)Also in the build mode, it wont let me move my DJ even though I KNOW I've moved him before. 3)Sometimes the register stops working. I've had some days where I lose 100+ says because the register decides to stop letting people buy stuff. There are also minor bugs that aren't an issue. Like when people randomly disappear off the screen only to reappear later on to buy their cds. If the major bugs were fixed, this game would be more enjoyable. 2/5 due to the unplayability caused by bugs.
And to anyone that says that you can't kill the last boss on epic, well you can, You just need alot of fire power. Which brings me to my next point. Maybe you should make the bosses harder. Baal can be beaten if you just get close enough to him and the last boss on epic, well, I didn't even need to use shield for most of the battle and i never lost one unit.
Great game. I would have liked to have seen a better story line to it but that's just me. There is one thing that pissed me off about this game though. There is no autosave feature. So I spent 2 or so hours beating all of the levels on epic mode. I was just about to do level XII (which was the last one I had to do since I beat all the extra levels on epic first) and my internet crashes. Which means that the page needed to be refreshed and... well lets just say my progress wasn't saved. I don't even want to look at this game anymore T-T
AI is rather crappy to be honest. I got all the way to the last round in one of the hard maps and one of the enemies got stuck and just started twitching in the corner somewhere. Guess he had a nervous breakdown or something. PTSD. But it prevented me from completing the level. So that's one major thing that ruined this game for me. The lack of any different units was pretty lame as well. Guns or cannons... that's about your only choice. But I guess that's because of the story of the game more than anything. Either way, not a bad concept for a game. The AI is absolutely horrible tho.
The game isn't too bad but the towers definitely need better AI. Nothing worse than trying to build the perfect defense using retarded towers that don't attack the monsters that are charging at your base.
Game wasn't too bad but the aiming mechanic was pretty horrible. Better aiming and more enemies would make it a bit better. Hotkeys would definately be a plus as well.
