Is that proper inertia physics I spot when shooting and moving forward after thrusting? As in, the bullets slow you down because it's decelerating you slightly with every shot?
haha unfortunately it's not. I wish. Bullet velocity is instantaneous when it spawns and is always constant.
That being said, the original version of the game had realistic, space-like "an objet in motion will stay in motion" movement physics. When you stopped accelerating you continued moving at the same velocity indefinitely, you needed gas to steer, and if you rotated without gas you would just spin while moving the same direction. It was too hard to control the craft. Without friction to slow the craft down there was no max speed so eventually both players would end up bouncing uncontrollably quickly around the room in a ridiculous and hilarious manner, and any attempt to gain control would just add to the overall speed and make it worse.
Great game, I did like Archillies and this is just the improvement the engine needed. More focus on the controlability would be cool but overall a 5/5!
I still think this is an awsome game but the lack of a save when updated last really friggin bugs everyone. Fix that and you got a winner. To get around the problem ive left my laptop on for 5 days now :D and im now Lt. Colonal with a heck of alot of ribbens haha
Personally thought it was a great lil defence game. Some constructive critisism though. The slot machine needs to be revised as superwombat said. The Dragons are all powerfull lol, once u know how the game runs, its too easy to stockpile resources and have loads of money, there needs to be at least one boss, a final one. Not just hordes of faceless beasts. And the balancing needs to be addressed. All in all though a great game! and one I hope gets improved on! 4/5 with a potential 5/5
Reminds me of an old game i used to play as a kid called Jezzball. I like how you've taken that concept and rolled with it *chuckle* great job, great physics and application. 5/5
It wasn't that bad, keep me entertained for 10 mins. Nice animation and decent controls. Sniper games have been done to buggery so a freash plot or game mechanics would be better. Puzzle sections way to easy but still good design! 4/5
