Duplication update. No need to forge anything, just return to the main menu from that screen. You can dup a second egg at the same time, if it is equipped to a critter in the new critter slot. You can also move items between saves in this way. Unfortunately critters can't be moved, and glitched critters can't be revived in any way I can find.
Duplicate any item with the following process. 1) Save your game. 2) Go into camp and place the item to dup in the top right slot where new items appear (not in your inventory). 3) Go directly to the forge and forge any three berries. 4) Shift click Main Menu and load your save. 5) Go into camp and move your dup item into your inventory. 6) Return to map and save. Repeat ad infinitum.
Wall jump seems sketchy, but the trick is you don't grip the wall until you stop moving up, hence cannot wall jump until you hit the top of your jump. Its only a split second you have to wait sometimes but it makes a huge difference.
Would be nice if walls auto-rebuilt if destroyed. The later waves are just rebuilding destroyed walls. It would also be nice if they would rebuild for free. I lost on day 139 not because I couldn't wack it, but because I ran out of money to keep rebuilding my walls. Nice game (^.^). Note on strategy for the current version, it seems building in the corner, is the best strategy. Put some archer towers in the back for the few that spawn there. Build a nodule out front with all your other towers. Restart a billion times to get a corner with 4 iron, 3-4 wood, 1 uranium, and 3-4 crystal nearby (on later waves you get 100,000 crystal for killing the wave, so what you mine in your final base isn't too important). Leave 1 gap between your walls and your towers. 3 thick in the front, 2 thick elsewhere.
If you right click on the game while it is loading, you can change the detail to low. This will help if the game becomes unresponsive when there are lots of enemies on the screen. I could not find a way to change this setting in-game.
Clicking on the opponent's rage of souls card in campaign battle 24 causes it to be cast immediately, then the opponents creatures attack. Exploit: I had 2 phoenix on the board, so clicking it repeatedly caused them to die and rebirth, costing the enemy 3 hp each time, causing me to win.
Starting Guide: Start your first game. Go to "medals", scroll to the right, and click on the first column of square ones for 400 bonus points (have to wait until day 8 to spend them). Some game mechanics: heavier bodies with a higher top speed have less drag and can go faster despite the weight. The Bullet + Ram Jet can get to 500k fully upgraded (above 1000k at ~max+10 (must unlock to upgrade beyond max)). Spearhead + Sonic Burst gives you money the quickest. You randomly unlock more parts with each game win, so once you win start another game (all mentioned parts are stock). You can lift 150 to 200k with the Shuttle + Shuttle Reactor (Payload Mode). You can get a bunch more distance on Classic Mode by aiming 30-45 degrees and quickly toggling your engines to keep your speed down if in the red. All medals right of the square ones clicked at the beginning only give you bonus points (no flight bonuses).
6031k Height with El Fuego (Max+30), Sonic Burst x3 (Max+30), 4x Fuel Canister (Max+30). No launcher. Entire flight takes about 10 seconds. Altitude varies depending on what you hit. Bonus shop upgrades all to about level 3.
If you want to test a build, or just mess around and try things out, do the following: Open a private browsing window, copy your save game text, load it in the private window. Test out whatever you want while your regular game keeps going. Find a build you like better, and you can load it into your regular game or copy it brick by brick. If you blow things up, just load again.
The 4 heat cell map needs to be at least the same size metropolis, if not larger since it has the cell limit. As it is, it's development has no real economical impact.
If you're insistent about reloading, how about a reload all button, so we don't accidentally upgrade when reloading? A speed up button would help a lot. How about being able to reassign upgrade points, but have better units require more points? Being able to see unit stats when hovering over their card in the upgrades menu would be nice. Being able to upgrade by clicking on the upgrade instead of the "+" would be what players expect. Unit health should not fade out unless it is full, or at the very least it should be visible by hovering. I like the concept. The game just needs a little polish to get it from it's current 3.51 stars to 4 stars.
BUT can you beat it WITHOUT using even a single MISSILE COMPLEX on apocalypse? My current record is 1100 million people left at the end. There is something calming about watching the planet erupt in ion cannon fire when the enemy touches the top of the screen. It is MUCH tougher than regular apocalypse.
There can be blocks covered by enemy turrets or bug nests, so they need to be avoided too, is the most I could figure. It took me multiple tries to get that red planet achievement too, and I think this is why.
For those JUST STARTING: To get all in game achievements, DO NOT buy a TURBO before you get to the core for the first time. This achievement gives 100 plasma, and saves more grinding than a turbo is worth. DO NOT spend plasma on upgrades until you have jumped to the RED PLANET, where plasma is at the surface with 1-7+ per pickup. The candy drill has the same abilities as the 1st and 5th but can be upgraded more. It upgrades using gems (up to 100 at a time), so don't waste gems on older parts. Upgrading the hornet hull completely gives 1,000 plasma. You do NOT have need the green planet achievements to get the candy drill. Use a slow engine and sideways mining to unlock better energy cells to minimize upgrading waste. For RED PLANET achievements, barriers are the yellow fireball looking things; blocks are total number of squares, not to be confused with material (that you spend); reaching 500m in 30s is continual boost with the fastest combination of parts, the rest were easy enough.
In the dice game, if he rolls 25 bid higher, if he rolls 26 bid lower. There are 7776 possible rolls. It is easy to find out what they all are in a spreadsheet.
Thanks for your feedback! I'm already working on ideas to make the end game more interesting
