Just to clarify it to people, there are two different statistics, resources mined and blocks collected. A useful way to get more blocks is to go at a shallower angle, around 60 degrees from downwards. This allows you to collect more blocks at once.
Hi, this is a common suggestion, and we agree with the spirit of it. Unfortunately, it's not trivial to implement due to some mechanics in the game that aren't particularly prominent initially (namely, revealing previously hidden encumber effects + the Maze of the Mind card). Given our limited resources and developer time, this is probably not a change that is coming soon... but yes, we want it eventually. Thanks for your feedback! :)
You can mute the sound effects via right click menu, but if you only want to mute the beeping, then I'll probably add a second section in the settings dedicated to sound.
If I make a sequel for this world it will likely be a side-scrolling tower defense game similar to Towering Forever - I have a lot of ideas that could make such a thing quite fun. I don't particularly feel like making games that are basically the same thing over but reskinned. I'm not opposed to making a metroidvania style game in the future though. Most likely though I'd need enough money to hire an artist for that sort of thing.
There needs to be a sequel, in the future, and instead of squirrels, robotic squirrels. Instead of icarus, robotic icarus. Instead of robots, robotic robots.
