A Cross with a center ring will appear including some options below. Now to get that Effect… The X-Y controller will NOT produce any sound by itself, so search on the Structure TS4042. Open the folder and load the sound “My First Roland” onto the channels window. Then click on the channel and open TS404/TS4042. One o Both will appear. Name Your First X-Y Controller “Ctuoff / Resonance” and the Second, “Envelope / Distortion”. When everything is done all left is linking them. Click on Cut (Filter) and press Link To Controller. Choose “Cutoff / Resonance (Insert 1) – X” and with Res (Filter) “Cutoff / Resonance (Insert 1) – Y”. Now Env (Filter) Link to controller and choose “Envelope / Distortion (Insert 2) – X” and Amt (Dist) “Envelope / Distortion (Insert 2) – Y”. Now Fill one Pattern and let it play. When you Move your mouse, the sound is different. You can Link all types of Knobs and things which say “link To Controller” with a right click. Have Fun, Modulating! :)
