Ok, here's the deal, your best chance is to go the magic path, start investing into spell/curse power stat, this will influence how powerful the curses like Life leak are without increasing the cost. at level 20 ish you get about 30 true damage a pop, invest also in curse duration and you have that amount for almost 10 turns, it's crippling to any foe.
Suppose you do stock up on special tools on the easier levels and get to use them. It gets to a point where all you have is the "new deal" and all it takes is one bad draw to reset ALL progress. That's the only flaw I see. If there were lives or checkpoints it wouldn't be frustrating to the point of rage quit
Man I loved this so much, it was challenging and also pretty fun, I just played going the distance when I completed it 100% because I was so proud to get the hang of it
Glad to know you are still kicking mrudi! Loved it in the past and I am very excited to complete this one as well, when I was done with the prologue I feared it was an awfully short second part but thrilled to find out it wasn't. The music is as soothing as always!
Eight years later, three years after I completed this game for the first time, I want to praise this game once more. Even now I am revisiting, retrying another story in order to enjoy this again. Please make a third installment!
I love the decision game series I actually got pretty far on this last game, having completed the previous ones, but since I installed windows 10 by mistake the game started to malfunction. For example if I press Z to activate detection it shows me a map of the area instead of the red aura and the game goes on with the map covering the screen, making it unplayable. I hope this can be fixed or maybe it's just me. Let me know because as I said earlier I really like your games.
Hyptosis: I really respect your work and appreciate each one of your games, from the Sagittarian series to this one. The thing I like the most is the fact that there really are options, not like in other cases that if you "choose wrong" you die, this really is interactive fiction. Thank you, i do mean it, keep up this excellent work. P.S. I am longing for those Sagittarian 4 please don't bail on us!
If you just want the badge or you got stuck on a level there is a way of winning pretty easily: When you go to battle you can toogle the auto sending of units in the options menu below (on the left corner), it will keep them coming so you dont have to bash spacebar all the time. Then all you do is wait, don't mind the other rows just focus on spawning soldiers on one. Sometimes you have to change the spearmen for swordmen in order to beat the level but with the upgrades it works out just fine. I chose the men of the west and bought the upgrades for the fastest starting unit (spearmen). + if it helped so others can see it
