Well, I -was- enjoying this until it cut me off of playing any more games for the time being. I mean, I appreciate that they need to make money, but I'm not sinking cash into a basic flash game -just- to play it more often than the rules dictate.
It's a fun game, granted, but.. I'm not one of those who comes back to a game on a daily basis for a quick jam session. Thanks for providing a fun little experience, I'd give it a 4 out of 5 for being an entertaining take of Risk, but limited plays and powerups that let you skip past obstacles... I don'
so, big update, i've gotten a neato little intro working and i've coded in solid walls! up next, making a goal point and doing some internal walls, then giving it an artsy lick of paint! :3
I'd like to add, i will be working on making and uploading a level today, if i can work out how to make solid objects. The finished product will be an interesting little maze game that works with visibility limitations, but the naturally enhanced senses a rat would normally have. Basically, if you ever played A Link to the Past and remember how you had limited vision in dark rooms? kinda like that, only sources of sound will be visible on screen, and you can track scent trails and such.
This is my first flash project, so if anyone decides there's something rather specific they'd like to see in this game, feel free to say so! I'm open to suggestions, and i will mention you in the credits for having added to the game (obviously, i mean it's only fair!)
a fairly glitchy game. i'm killed by what i thought was part of the background, because, who rides down a tree. half the time, the jumps can't be made cus i apparently have to pull a castlevania 2 and stand right on the edge on the platform to make the jump. the other half of the time, i seem to start... levitating. i can't stop and i'll levitate over any holes until i find a jump higher than me, where i slowly sink down into it. that and the trees on the edge of the cliff. so, in general, one of three things kill me within about 15 seconds. if i make it past one, the other will kill me. 0/5 because it's unplayable :/
err, for some reason, it seems that any zombie that moves around can move through walls. now, i can understand the fat ones doing it maybe, they might bash down a wall. but afterwards there should be a hole. how to two female zombies and 3 child zombies phase through 6 walls? beyond that, it's not bad, but it's kind of annoying having extremely low accuracy with weapons. my character is the vet, which i assume is short for veteran. then why can he only land the odd rare hit on a slow, stumbling target?
so far, i'm interested, i'll admit, and i love the cutscene style. looking forward to any updates :D 3/5
well, that was fun. a little unexpected on the storyline, but not bad overall. and Kisame, to answer your question, it's because of the way a rifle loads. he loads in 4 rounds, then locks the slide. wouldn't mind seeing some more games made like this to be honest. i've played flash sniper games, and they were made so complex that they became unplayable. not a bad job overall. perhaps in the future, you could make multiple levels and upgrades? i.e. instead of stopping a seemingly senseless task force of workers, why not have the main character picking off local camps they've made?
other features could be added too, such as night vision and such. just remember to keep the rifle nice and accurate.
well, i give it a 0. there's no explanation for the game mechanics, and it's not exactly obvious. i was left staring at a screen with a tentacle hooked into some green ball with an 11/50 and there's some other grey ball above the two. after latching on, i couldn't do anything. and a walkthrough doesn;t count as a tutorial, it counts as a walkthrough and players shouldn't have to view it to try and work out what should be explained in game.
a neat distraction, not a bad spin on the crush the castle, did some nice work on the physics. if ever you go on to make a sequal, here's hoping there's a lot more to it, such as ammunition varieties, like a cluster shot. you could even take it further than castles, such as a ship to ship battle where it's you vs. the computer, or even a friend, to sink the other's ship or castle first.
anyways, overall, i give it a 3.5 cus, as i said, a neat distraction with some good work in there :3
it was an okay game, neat little idea, at first i was all "oh god this will get dull quick." but i have to be fair, i played through the whole thing and it was a fun distraction. a suggestion would be to make it more like a constant ascent, so, instead of 10 monsters and a boss at the top, it's a constant mad scrabble to keep up with the multiple eyed beastie and get past it's many minions. overall, i give it a 3.5/5. nothing amazing, but worth a quick go :D
P.S. hope your buddy works his way out of unemployment soon :3
level 21 just ruins it. the problem is, different computer Operating Systems have different maximum mouse speeds, therefore, even at maximum speed, i cannot ever hope to complete this level. beyond that, so far it's a neat game. for those running it on XP, you should be able to set it to a high enough mouse speed
FlameZero, i hear you there. i don't have any experience at all in making games, but i can easily understand how complex it can be to put something together. i'm running this game on a Tiny brand bomputer with windows XP and 256mb of RAM though. i may lag, but i can still see a good game when i play one. anyways, to the guys at armor games and those in Con Artist Studios! keep the zombie games rolling! this one is great! admittedly, a save feature would be nice, but i think ya oughta worry about good gameplay over anything else! amazing game! 10 out of 5!
hmm... i give this game a 3 myself. admittedly, it was fun... i saw some things you don't often see in a time based game, but as everyone else has droned on about, yeah, it really needs to be a little more open for choices... anytime i saw a particular enemy, say techno troll, i'd just immediately go for wall of particles, because each enemy had a single attack style. it was just work out a pattern and adopt it until you level up. if enemies had a proper A.I. to work with, this game could be alot more surprising and a hell of alot trickier. and also, the engineer class isn't really too different from psionic... just no natural mana regeneration, really. i'm looking forward to seeing more works from you though, as i reckon you could really put something amazing together! good luck in the near future!
freaking awesome game! i'm gonna try for hard mode next! here's hoping they setup some awesome badges like max level a boss tower, or get a particular score! Xp 5* entertainment!
freaking awesome game! and killer, just because you died doesn't make a game gay. i'm cwertain plenty of players have died... so learn the meaning of a good game and come back when you know what you're talking about. this game kicks ass and i'm really hoping there'll be a third! as for those secret weapons, they can only be found on the armorgames website, *i am not trying to advertise it, just pointing it out for those wondering "why is there no minigun? i was told there was a minigun!!!"* i give this game a 5 star rating!
freaking great game! i love defence games like these and this one is special! 5 Star Rating! oh, there's an awesome Shotgun reload glitch! start reloading the shotgun, then hit the escape buton! the game will pause, but he'll pump all 8 shells into the shotgun! great for later levels!
