Maybe I'm just too drunk, but this game doesn't seem to allow for almost ANY mistakes in the first couple of rounds. Is it like that for the whole game? If so... screw this. I'm not going to learn the programmer's EXACT strategy for defeating the "bad guys." If they want me to beat the game in a specific way, they might as well highlight which upgrades I'm "supposed" to choose rather than pretending I have a real choice.

Nice game. The frantic pacing due to lack of real instructions at the beginning or explanation of the dynamics between Master and Apprentice is interesting. Interesting concept, neat presentation, but this demo only works as a compact example of concept while making the full version look like the player would act frantically without direction until getting an arbitrary game over for historically-reasonable reasons. Great for history buffs insoafar as knowing where the deadlines lie, but totally arbitrary to your casual player. Informative, realistic, but ultimately confusing and infuriating to your average player.

Chrome Hates You: The Sloggening. Become an adventurer in hours of grindy fun as you simulate the 9-to-5 job of a paint drying observer! Spend hours navigating ten whole tiles in order to snag a single item you need to increase skills that don't matter at all! In only a decade you, too, will feel the joy of crafting items you didn't need to underwhelmingly finish the final dungeon! Watch as fights you don't even bother to control take eons to finish in order to earn badges that don't exist yet! ...man, chrome made this series suck :(

Hey, great; I can't advance without either massive luck or spending for Kreds! This game is a grind-fest failure that manipulates its users. I miss the older versions. Screw this game!

Is my computer not running this right? My level three entertainers break my end-of-day statistics, as do my Segway Cops. I literally cannot get the "Thanks to Segway" ingame achievement because leveling day cops to max freezes them in place and changes their pay rate to $NaN. What's the deal?

Excellent game, but maybe a tad ambitious for the developer. Collision detection was way off in certain areas resulting in the protagonist either falling through floors and platforms or teleporting through walls. The wall jump was a nice touch, but it only worked when it wanted to resulting in either a multitude of avoidable deaths due to not latching on properly, or slowly falling into an enemy because I came too close to a wall and couldn't force the character to drop. Again, great game but lots of flaws.

This game is ridiculous, especially considering the hard badge. It's not a bad game by any means, but the amount of dedication and luck involved is ridiculous. I don't mind devoting a few hours to a game like this if there's some skill involved, but this one requires either extensive memorization or a lot of note-taking, neither of which I want to do. 13 play-throughs in order to be three chests away from winning? Losing out on a crucial dungeon due to the "random" nature of the adventure tiles in a limited time-based game? WTF? I imagine they fixed most of this since the third edition has recently been released, but... really!? Why is this hard instead of impossible? This thing is more of an irritating time waster than fun. It requires way too much intimate knowledge of functions only learned through multiple replays, and is hindered by the random nature of certain portions.

The only "strategy" I've found that works for me is relying almost entirely on your castle's arrows for the beginning portion of the stage until you can increase your max mana. Once you can afford Paladins, send one out and increase your mana pool as much as possible before it dies, then send another one and repeat.
