Upgrade Ancestral Wisdom, Timber Yard, and Cut Out Mastery early on. Each time you start a level, seize the mana pool ASAP, then any other buildings, and then start hacking away at those forests. Soon enough, you'll find yourself with more gold and more places to build than you know what to do with.
Dangit, I'm back again! Lol. Last time I played as ONLY unique characters on Hard difficulty. This time, I'll be limiting myself to using ONLY Tristan until I can purchase the thief, and then ONLY using thieves.
Holy crap, now I have 25 MORE talent points to spend, as well as the ones I had already in use, AND I'm back at Level 3! xD I'm sorry you've been dealing with some bugs, but this is the best one so far, for sure.
Ah, looks like you may be on an older version. If you refresh, are you able to continue your game or do you have to do a new game? Feel free to shoot me a PM if you don't want to comment publicly.
Ummm scratch that last comment. Apparently it reset my gold AND my level... but I still have all the talent points! xD So... Don't change anything! Haha =P
Oh, I think I found a little bug. If you exit to the main world map, you lose all of your gold. I had about 6,000 and decided to change up my talent points, but when I got there, I had 0 gold. Just thought I'd let you know.
Quick question before I play through the game again: What is the total max skill level? And do we only get one skill point per level increase now, instead of two? Because if it's only one point per increase, then wouldn't we only have 25 (or however many it is now) spendable points at the end? Thanks!
The max level was increased from 25 to 30. Not a huge cap increase, but we'll increase it further if it proves to not be high enough still. You get 1 talent point each level resulting in 29 points to spend. In the previous version, you would get a total of 12 points in each tree (at max level), resulting in 36 total points to spend, but obviously with way more restrictions. The new version allows you to spend 29 points wherever you please, so potentially you could put all 29 points into one tree!
*After getting every star except for beating the scourge templar in under 5 minutes*
"Welp, forget that."
Maybe unlock, I dunno, a couple extra skill points for beating him?
When did games stop offering quality settings? When I have five guys shooting flames, the game lags SO bad!
I also agree that we should be able to have a priority setting for the squad, so that less helpful squad members get kicked out when better ones arrive.
