Even when the ads are working, this is a heck of a grind. After an hour of playing I still haven't gotten anywhere. This shift to the freemium model has completely ruined the pacing, I'm just going to play Burrito Bison 2 again.
OK, let me express this one criticism very carefully. This game is very fun. It is very pretty. The music is gorgeous. Overall, I really like the game. However, I feel as though the field of view is very constricted and I believe that the game suffers because of it. The large, open, beautiful world becomes claustrophobic and the player's ability to plan ahead or react to forthcoming obstacles is made more difficult. I think that we should be able to play with a larger field of view or at least the camera should pan a bit further forward in the direction that Sly is running.
It's fun and all, but I really want to be able to see more than 3 feet in front of my face. I feel like I can't really plan out jumps or tell where I am without seeing the map constantly.
Look, this is great game, I'm not about to say otherwise, but the voice acting and script is TERRIBLE. Real people don't talk like that, real soldiers don't talk like that, and every spoke word sounds over scripted and unnatural.
Again, though, great game.
