Please make the "ghost car" actually ghostly. when I saw it today for the first time I thought it was a bug, and it took me by surprise. Can it be turned off?
Surprisingly engrossing, given the way the AI reacts to my actions. I was all set to dismiss this after only a few seconds of gameplay, but I'm hooked.
I do wish my units showed more discipline. Instead of holding their battle lines they get scattered to the four winds by whatever enemy contact they have, whilst the poor standard bearer gets left in the midst of a whirling mess.
There's precious little strategy involved when I feel I have little control over my own forces in that regard.
It's entirely possible to get stuck in a meteor when charging up the "star jump" to break it. I've had it happen twice in one game. Mallow just gets kind of fuzzy and doesn't move any more. I can change his facing, but that's it until the end of the round.
Amazed at how well the pistol does as the game advances. Infinite ammo, upgradable, fires as fast as I can press the space bar? I rarely need anything else.
I am thoroughly addicted to this game. That said, some things ought to be fixed. Money is ridiculous.
Think about it in these terms:my player is perpetually gloomy because I don't have the money to buy nice things and attract a girlfriend. He is paid peanuts and only gets a bonus if he scores goals. He might get three or four assists, but those mean nothing. All of his money goes into paying for performance-enhancing drugs disguised as energy drinks. Without them, he doesn't have the energy to play. Anything left over is gambled in the local casino just in an effort to make enough money to survive or MAYBE buy a cheap pair of boots that will fall apart after three matches. Cell phones? Game systems? A bicycle or an apartment? LUXURY!
Another thing that bugs me is that my skills don't improve with use on the pitch; they can only by improved by flogging my player to exhaustion.
The loot system is little more than a way to get cash in the shop; when I do get loot, it's garbage far below the equipment I have. It's rare that the equipment in the shop is better than the items I have, and the 15 minute restock timer is annoying as well.
The skill tree is needlessly complex, with small improvements to skills with new attacks far between. It's just a grind, especially when my characters' charisma levels are through the roof in contrast with my other abilities.
Tactics are laughable; pinpoint a target on the body and go after it with the whole team, repeat until opponents are dead. Just by using "power attack" I can destroy the armor of a single opponent in less than two rounds, with a dismemberment shortly afterward. Only challenge so far comes from an opponent who manages to hit with Armor Break, and then it's a race.
Not enough money per bird; maybe offer bonus cash for multiple kills per shot?
At the very least, lower the cost of cleaning and upgrades.
Nothing's worse that being stuck with the slow, weak musket when there are two-shot crows around. You hardly have time for the second shot!
Weak AI makes the challenges all too easy. A strong purple deck works for just about every challenge except for the "one health" challenge, where I just threw together a white deck. Easy peasy.
