As for level 10. Connect to the nearest blog, cut immediately to instantly take control over it. Connect again, and boost it, and attack the bottom blog the microsecond before the red connects to it. Cut the cord again, and boost up until you get two upgrades (around 20) with the one nearest the big blob. Then attack right down blob and disconnect from your first blob, wait and charge up until you can get a big advantage against bottom right.
So ... the continue button doesn't mean it saves progress so you need to sit the whole game through (Mac Firefox, at least). Would be nice to know on beforehand. :)
After I bought Become the captain, after dungeon 5, the damage was saved between rounds, and I only got 1XP and 1GP whenever I won combat. I also couldn't open any chest - it loaded and then a popup said that the chest was unopened.
Firefox, Mac. If I play with mostly x3 speed, the game will continue to lag like hell, even if it's the first game. If I don't touch that button, then I can play for 6-8 games without me noticing any memory hogging.
So, for the second dungeon, I can just enter it, have the orcs running over the bridge to their doom, collect the coins, leave and reenter the dungeon, and getting all the coins I want without hassle?
Ok, I'll consider adding that in the update. It would be easy to pull off with mouse controls, not sure if I could make an elegant solution for keyboard controls.
Here's an explanation that contains some spoilers for the game: Basically, if you have more than one checkpoint active at a time, a cat spawns at each active checkpoint when you die. And if the level has a cat that isn't tied to a checkpoint (spawns at level load, not at a checkpoint), you can abuse this to get infinite clones of yourself.
The way she's loosing any kind of speed during jump when letting go of the key is really annoying, and also that I can't press jump while in the air to jump again when she lands.
Anyone else that falls off any kind of edge constantly? I'm appreciate that spikes are forgiving when it comes to hitboxes, but any kind of edges are really annoying. I'm pretty sure I pressed up before jumping off an edge, but still falls off.
All in all, a nice platforming game with a sweet story. I don't know what the hidden paths added to the experience though. Just made me wasting time jump into walls, trying to see if there were any hidden paths.
The time it took for her to stop made it feel like she was running on ice, and together with hit boxes that were too large for the killing obstacles made the level Paths really frustrating.
