That multiplayer bug needs to get fixed. This is the only eight player strategy game on kongregate, and when the game's actually finished and real Ai is implemented this could be an awesome game.
The creature AI needs to be much better, or there should be a way to assign priority to areas. A lot of people really don't understand the concept of indirect control though.
I was lucky enough to beat Fixation without beating The Company of Myself first; and to be honest that gave the story a much greater impact. It paints a interesting picture of somebody, that see's the world as gritty and realistic yet at the same time completely alien. The ending not making much sense at all, the two separating for almost no clear reason and quite suddenly. Until of course, I made a point of immediately beating Company of Myself. Then it unfortunately made sense. I would of enjoyed fixation much less if at all if I went in knowing Kat's fate.
Beat every single level on the first try with the basic character. Never had to switch characters once. Games wayyyy too easy despite how much it tries to cheat.
I know the balance would be a bit off, but seriously when you unlock something it should stay unlocked so I don't go from being the master of dragons to still learning about undead just to get some extra stars. Crypt is amazingly difficult on hard, and no mix of abilities is helping at all.
Brilliant game. For those complaining about more to do in the game, you obviously didn't read the part where you can grab a deluxe version on 360 indie ;3
I appreciate it when a game is hard. But I don't appreciate that the game becomes borderline trivial once you get Chuck. The woman in the tophat and the dizzy mexican feel too situational (I only used tophat woman once to any real effect) and the level up system is heavily flawed. It becomes painfully obvious that the damage bonuses are much better then most of the status effects (Stun, and to a lesser extent Slow are the only really useful status effects).
Its a good game, but it feels like way too much luck is involved, and the game really likes throwing tons of difficult enemies at you when it should realize you are in no way going to be able to kill them with your current cowboys. Level 11's pace though, is oddly more what I would expect level 3 or so would be like.
This game is pretty much a free version of Puzzle Quest, only instead of giving mana the various colors do various moves which is a interesting take. While this game does look like it needs a update or two it is a very well done take on Puzzle Quest.
The end boss is hairpullingly difficult but NOT impossible. Do not stick around the top platform and you certainly want to have a random gun at spawn. Snipers are your absolute friends in that fight. After a few tries I finally killed the bastard.
I kind of wish there was a more open ended setting so I could deal with other players attacks. That would be one cut-throat, freaking entertaining multiplayer game.
Only problem is game ends up going so fast it will not recognize you trying to jump. I gave up the second I realized that it was impossible to do such a easy task.
