@SN1P3RSTU113: Actually, the Normans were originally from the far north. They started as Northern raiders just like the Vikings we see in this game, but they decided to settle in eastern France, whereas the Vikings in 1066 stayed in the north. This explains why blond-haired, blue-eyed people appeared in France. Interestingly enough, some Normans then proceeded to migrate to Scotland, where they founded the Kerr clan.
