After a few hours the game becomes boring an repetitive. Prestiging is a chore. Need more prestige upgrades, like "start with X builders/explorers", needs serious change in clicking system, or removing it altogether. As others said, "buy all" option, and most of all: needs a sense of accomplishment.
When you unlock Obtainium, the game changes it's focus entirelly. Instead of focusing on producing coins, you just wait for the next obtainium. And while you wait untill you have enough obtainium to maximize it's production, doing anything else seems pointless.
-ores aren't renewable
-the only consistent money source is books and looe magic, and they suck
-teleport is very hard to come by
-getting stuck and having to reset the game is a constant fear
-the ice melts too quickly, and cost too much/takes to much time to fill the bag
get rid of these and you'll have a great game in your hands.
suggestions:
-Make upgrades to the ice melting duration
-jumping or hookshot upgrades
-a teleport spell that cost lots of ice (50 or 100)
-regular landslides, renewing ore and pathways (like in motherload)
I've read about the real experiment. The game is well done and interesting, but with unlimited tries, and no real loss, it pays more to be kind and split. If the same was done with real money, i think people would be much less egotistical.
True! But would you like to trust a stranger on Kongregate with 100k of your real cash? :D
There are more game modes in the works right now which can put a lot more emphasis on the weight of the dilemma, alongside alternate play modes which greatly increase community interaction :)
This kind of game gets repetitive and old very quicly, and if you make the game harder and harder to progress, we will lose interest and move on to other games.
If you want to make a good idle/clicker, you should take the example of Realm Grinder. The game was hard at the beginnig, but with each update the devs added more endgame content, witch made the previous levels consequently easyer.
This game is fun and has fun mechanics, but theconsequently slower progress (made even slower by the constant nerfs), and the low endgame content, is making a promissing game get old prematurely.
I spent 500k gold in a diamond box. I won three free levels on crystals, but it also raised the price for it's upgrade, witch is pointless in the long run. Other than that, it's a good game. Though it could use more ragnarok upgrades, to increase the sense of progress
There shoud be a store to buy permanent upgrades with our gems, like increased mana pool, faster mana regeneration, improve coin find, maybe alliance with other factions, so you could buy their upgrades, with you eventually unifying all factions and reestablish peace in the world
I really enjoyed this game, and all the others from the series, but i find it too easy, even in epic mode.
Now i'm trying to use only heroes and speels, and its quite challenging and enjoyable. Perhaps this could turn into a game, with more customizations of the characters and maybe some items.
I found a strategy that makes this game a breeze.
I only used the trainee unit of Kirana, one of the starting heroes.
You only have to place her and yours level up points in magic use, buy or use items that add to that stat too. That way you will deal so much damage that you wont even need to level up your trainees, and you wont even notice if the monsters are strong to the element used.
The only problem will be the enemies that absorb the elemente used. To avoid that, equip one elemente changing item. I haven't seen any stage that all elements are absorbed.
In my game, kirana has 38 magic use, 38, 0 other stats. The trainee units deal 70 dmg without any upgrade.
I haven't lost a single life after i started using this strategy, and it’s hard to see one monster walking more thar 10 steps.
Maybe this could be done with throwers and archers too.
Melee units are totally useless.
I hope this helps people like me, who spend almost 3 days without winning any level
There was an update adding a gem upgrade to speed it up
