Mud and Blood 2

To those of you who just found this game, tip of advice. Considering this is a defense game, you best be aware that the developer designed it as a survival game. You hold out as long as possible using whatever means at your disposal. This is a suicide mission, but, you get to test your commander skills in leading your small squad in their last stand. Your main objective here is too see how many Nazi scum you can take with you before your overrun. Can you survive to wave 100? or perhaps wave 200? We will see in due time. My advice is that when you know your forces are about to be destroyed and you can't help them, put on the Battle Hymn of the Republic (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p5mmFPyDK_8) and instead of your soldiers crying "mother" when they die, they'll cry "Glory" and die like men. In this way, it should sooth the death of your brave men and perhaps give you a sense of contentment that you did your best. NOW GET OUT THERE AND HOLD THE LINE TO THE LAST MAN SOLDIER!!!

The only issue is a lack of variety in missions. You just basically destroy everybody. Diplomacy options, bonus objectives, allies, and so forth would make a better game. Not to mention characters that talk with your character on campaign missions to add a plot. Something to add a bit more variety. Other than those few things its a good game.

Completed the campaign on hard difficulty. Seemed easy enough, with some grit and high explosives, anything is achievable. If your having trouble completing the campaign on hard, especially level 2, here is some advice. Read those recon indicators when you click on enemy units as well as your own, prioritize your targets! A great commander knows his enemy finds his strengths as well as his weaknesses and exploits them to his own advantage. If you don't prioritize and counter as seen appropriately then your in for a long day my friend. Strategy beats strength, remember that.

This game is a masterpiece all in all. could it use some improvements here and there? Sure! Could it use better graphics? Yes! But as said, its not the graphics, its the game-play! Overall its a very well synchronized game. The story is enticing to any starting players, giving you a good motivation to finish it. The ability to select the load-outs of your troopers and manufacture your own weaponry is absolutely amazing and uncommon in most strategy games today. Not to mention the strategy involved in taking down capital ships is an absolutely wonderful challenge for most veteran strategy gamers today. I really don't have much else to ask for in this game. Could it be easier? Sure! But remember, one great commander once said, "If everything is clear, you know exactly whatโ€™s going on, and all seems to be going your way, then youโ€™re not in a battle." You want a battle? Then fight an enemy you know can defeat you easily and keep you on your toes! Overall 10/10.
